So I thought you were Jewish and your Mormon girlfriend dumped you. Liar.

No, you can work on going to the temple to be sealed later. There will always be a few people that will judge someone, no matter how imperfect they themselves are. Most Mormons will assume you're new to the church or that you screwed up somewhere with following the church's teachings. No one is perfect- I'm sure there are lots of Mormon's that weren't virgins when they married, they just were able to repent and be forgiven and pure again. Depending on your circumstance, you can still marry in the temple, it may just take some time... if you haven't had sex with your fiance, then you can definitely work toward a temple marriage in the first place. Just do what you want and know is right. :)

Everyone is a child of God. Some of my best friends and favorite cousins were married civilly first and then sealed later. Sometimes it's just a matter of timing, or you can always say, "We have a goal to get married in the temple in the next year or two, so we'd love to have (you invited guests) back then if you can."

32nd degrees, lol
They're not necessarily thought of as less of a human being, but are certainly thought of in one of 3 ways:
1. They are sinners and couldn't get married in the temple. We need to help them repent.
2. They disregarded the prophet's commandment to only marry another LDS person and couldn't get married in the temple. We need to help them repent and help their new spouses convert.
3. They could have married in the temple, but just didn't want to. They are either apostate, or else don't take the Gospel seriously. I should try not to associate with them, except to build their testimonies again.

I would not consider them less. Temple marriage or eternal reward is all about the choices we make.
I wish all will have the temple marriage blessing, but that can not be force upon anyone. We hoping others will get eternal blessing rather than look down on those who not yet have the blessing.

Yep.
Scum of the Earth!
Just visit any Young Single Adult Ward and get in on the latest gossip. Someone is always getting disfellowshipped and cast out for marrying outside the Temple.

32 degree what? We aren't the Masons.
If anyone looks down on you, it would be if you are unrepentant of having sex with various girls. I know other couples who were married outside the temple, and no one ever thought less of them.

No, the mormons are very forgiving, because they want you to go to the temple eventually. I go married a mormon church, with my nonmormon husband. I never did go to the temple, but the mormons continued to be freindly to me because they always believed that someday I would return to the fold, they were friendlier when I was a jackmormon then when I was an active member. In this mormons are very forgiving.

That depends on a lot of things. A very good friend of mine is a life-long member and was married in a meeting house. I don't that anyone cared and a lot of people showed up.

I was married to my husband civilly first, 5 years later we were sealed in the temple. Those 5 years, I held callings, participated in church activities and always felt welcome at church. IF a person judges you, it's on their head for judging. Don't worry about it and just get to the temple when you are ready. It's SO worth it! I love the temple.

No, he's not thought of as a lesser person, but people hope that he will come to a point in his life where he can be sealed to his sweetheart for eternity
