So I'm back home now after some time away. Almost the first question everyone asks is if I have a boyfriend. That doesn't bother me. I know they're curious and trying to see what's new in my life. When I say no, then they ask why not. It infuriates me. It's almost like they're accusing me of pushing guys away. I haven't had a serious relationship in about 7 years and I'm fine with it. I've dated, but not met anyone I want to pursue anything further with. It doesn't bother me. I've had a ton of time figuring out who I am and what I want. So here are my questions:
1. Do you find it rude when someone ask "why not" when you say you're not in a relationship?
2. How do I answer/deal with someone who says "why not?"
3. Why is it so important to everyone else for me to be in a relationship? (Don't say because they want me to be happy because I am. Why can't they see that?)

They come up with some funny sounding garbage

As a speaker of French and German, when I see the result of some online translations involving these languages, it's hard not to laugh

That is all...

My mother was 90 when she died as a result of someones ignorance about Alz. I have more experience than you. She would often say she did not know who people were. They did not know she was nearly blind. If they said their name she knew exactly who they were. She sometime confused me with her brother and I was razed about it. They didn't stop to include that her brothers name was the same as mine. She was always being called crazy. She cooked her own food, cleaned her own home except when do gooders came and did it for her. She prefered to keep busy.
We had a code word that she used to let me know that she recognised me. It was "are you on my side". I had told her that years before. Elderly people like to feel that they have someone on their side.
My father was similiar. I always challenged him. He was better when frustrated. Strangers told me that i was good for him because I didn't take any crap. Your loved one is smarter than you think.

I know a fair few people from different faiths, they are all really cool people, but sometimes they can't go through a conversation without ending up talking about JC or Big Moh, buddah etc.

They also seem to live for religion i.e only two out of 6 have hobbies, the others live for religion and seem to do nothing else! (That can't be good, can it?)

What is your view? do you worship and play a sport or have a hobby too?

The cross dates back thousands of years before Christ. Pagans used it as a symbol for their gods. The word cross doesn't even appear in the Bible. It comes from the word stauros which means "stake or pole."

Bats, the flying mammals, have two legs and two arms, the arms of which have become highly adapted wing structures, for a total of four appendages. Birds, quite different from mammals, and have four appendages, two legs and two arms that are true wing structures. No bird, reptile, amphibian or mammal has six appendages.

Why is it that angels are depicted as having three pairs of appendages, two legs, two arms AND two wings, a total of six appendages, more like the insects? And if they are insects, then why aren't they depicted as having compound eyes and and exoskeleton?

Are these "angels" proof that the ancient theologians had absolutely no concept of science and morphology and that ancient theologians were truly the first dolts on the planet?

Come to think of it, why do angels need wings anyway? If they are superior god-sent creatures which materialize out of nothing, or at least fly in from heaven through the vacuum of space, why can't they just, you know, fly?

I received a violation notice on an answer I gave. Two members of this community have affirmed that the answer was well-written and caring. I lost my first appeal and my request for clarification was ignored. They just told me to read the rules. My Appeal on the board has been there two days without a Yahoo staff member even acknowledging the post. A member of the community wrote a kind request that my answer be reinstated, today that post is gone. So my question is others have reported violations. Are your experiences the same and are our R & S members growing frustrated by this?

As a side note to my contacts and friends, I no longer feel that I can post safely. So I will take at least a month off to pray and consider my decision. Thanks for all your support.

Pastor John
