At the time of Dannish cartoonist painting Prophet Mohammed (SAW), world was supporting and shouting about freedom of expression against the protest by a community. Now, when an artist portrayed Osama bin laden as christ in australia, same world is critisizing. I ask those people, now where is that freedom of expression they supported. This is not the first incident, at the time of movies like "The Passion of Christ", "Da Vinci Code" same was observed. Even the book Da Vinci Code was critisized. But, if a community protests against "Satanic Verses", the world say no it should be allowed as everybody have his freedom of expression.

One of my friends just gave out to me for what I did in class or better yet, what I didn't do.

I've just finished teaching an English camp in Spain for a month to students between 16&17. In one of the classes, the topic of gays and immigrants came up. At this point, they started saying nasty things in Spanish, like, "Los maricones son una sunor**les, los sudacas y los putos negros de mier** deben volver su propio país." Something like, (gays are crap and blacks and wetb**ks need to go home.) When they pressed on, I told them, it was THEIR country and if they really felt that way, they just had to vote for the politicians that supported their views when the time came. Then I continued with a grammar lesson.

My friend says I messed up, but I think I was there to teach English, so I did my job, plus I know that Spaniards aren't into political correctness so who am I to correct what they say in their own language?

What would you have done?

Last night, the christian radio host was given the clue to the immunity idol, and she attributed her being shown this as an act of god. how did a girl, deciding the christian lady is the weakest link and showing her the idol, an act of god? She specifically said that it was god helping her out. Thoughts?

Alright, I'm trying to find where I stand in the religious realm of things and so far it has not been easy. I've always been "Christian" but I don't really ever go to church and I pray every night. Well for about a month I've been adding my bible to my routine. That's when it all started. I was entroduced to Mormonism and after much research decided ehh not for me. So I started new research and came across Prebyterianism.

So basically I've only learned a little bit about it and I saw there are "elders" and a "book of order" I want to make sure that before I look into this too much more that the elders and priesthood thing is different from the mormon elders and priesthood, also that the book of order is not considered a gospel as the the book of mormon is. any ways any other information you have that is NOT found in wikipedia (as I have already read all that) would be great.

Noah and his wife and his 3 sons were left and the following happened

Now the very next passage goes as follows!!!!

"5By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands;"

Now how could a land filled with Gentiles exist if God wiped everyone out leaving only Noah, his three sons and their wives????

This does not make sense.

I look forward to more imaginative ideas from our Christian community.
