I've heared that it started in the 1800's but then I've also heared that it started in the 1950's, so I'm really confused. Is it really an ancient religon? If so, was it the first pagan religon? When did it actually start, and can you prove that it started then?

"I believe in God! I love the bible! But I only choose to believe the beginning of the bible, and not the rest...why? Because I chose to. Because I feel that the beginning of the bible is real, but the other half is fake. For some reason, I am only like that with the bible. If I read a history book, I believe the whole thing. Not just the half I prefer to believe. I think Christ is fake! I love God SOOOO much, but I dont believe there was ever a man named Jesus!!! Hahahaaa....Wow....I am SO smart!"

....What Am I???

I'm going to a hotel party tonight and its in the event of my friends 21st birthday. Now what will proper etiquette tell me to do? There will be alot of cool people, cute girls and the sort. i dont want to go up in there lookin like a douchebag with my gift all wrapped nicely with a ribbon on it. i bought her MASH Season 1 DVD Set. Should i just hand it to her like that or should i wrap it up? or put it in a bag? should i include the receipt?

To me, being lost is having no sense direction right?

Atheists have chosen their paths.

They have heard the Gospel and rejected it.

So I don't consider Atheists being lost.

I went on this blind date and the guy seems great but he's in the military! I've heard horror stories about men in the military or police officers and I tell you it's not pretty. Once he told me that I've been avoiding him . Well he's called me and left me messages. Am I overeating or am I doing the right thing?

that believing in God goes back to brainwashing children, thats not true, I never heard about God, my parents never went to church. ever. But as a little girl I was drawn to the church, started going on my own. I just always "new" that there was a God. My upbring had nothing to do with it.

americans if you want to be saved by true god you need to find that in heaven there is no flag. warning the only flag is gods retalliation which means true god does not care what country your from in order to stay on earth you have to abadon your flag. I speak to true god. best way to be saved is to combine all religions and become goddish religion which means you belong to god not america. I seen out of my window a cross on the moon every night which I assume the end of people not saved is coming. another thing i dont get is why do churches put american flags on churches. dont they that god everyone regardless of where they come from. also did you know all countries are white and black which means every country has good and bad. bad news true god told me usa is bablyon. I also speak to satan who says he loves europeans but hate americans because of the iggnorance towards. saying they own the world. when true god comes he says he will own the world.

this one really tripped me out- a couple of weeks ago, i ran into a girl who was in one of my classes last year, and we began to chat. i was in a hurry somewhat, and told her that i was headed to the bus stop, but that i was going to stop in the union and pick up a coffee to go on the way- i asked her if she was going in the same direction, and if she'd like to come with me. her reply was no, and that she was already seeing someone.....

OK- i thought this was really strange, and i suspect she simply didn't want to be seen with me in that capacity (in fact, she probably didn't want to be seen with me at all). i've lived in europe the past 15 years or so, and to ask a woman to coffee means absolutely NOTHING. Is this seen as a more serious issue here in the u.s., was this girl totally uptight, or did she simply not want to be seen with me, but was afraid to say so? did i commit a faux paus? what do you guys think?

It was unacceptable in biblical times, but this is today and we're cool about it.

Or are you in favor of slavery after all?

Not alot, just a little - like park my car at the end of his street and follow him for a while when he leaves. Or to wait outside his house so I can see what his wife looks like (what if she's fat?). What if I just do it a little instead of full time? No harm, right?

Non-Catholics seem to think that it is all right to ask those in their church to pray for them but condemn Catholics from doing the same. As a non-Catholic would you pray for others if asked or insist instead that they pray for themselves without your help, directly to God? Can you see how this is a bit hypocritical. If you think that Catholics are wrong will you point out why in Catholic literature or the Catechism, explaining how it is different from YOUR practice.

Exodus 21:20-21 – "If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property."
Colossians 3:22-24 – "Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
Ephesians 6:5 - "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ."
1 Peter 2:13 - "Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority."
Or are they just more convenient "metaphors"?

It is to die for !! If you havent, you have to - its almost better than sex, it IS better than sex with my exe - in fact a number of guys I know - ok except one, but I would want the cheesecake too --

It is sooooooo delicious, the pumpkin cheesecake that is.

A friend of mine had a "take out gourmet home cooked meals store front" and she made pumpkin cheesecake one year, the magazine I was working for did a review and raved about it --

And she couldnt keep up with the stampede for it, once the word got around, it was like 200,000 people descending on her shop after work, demanding MORE pumpkin cheesecake :-)

You HAVE to try it if you havent already. I hope the one I bought is as good as the one I made last year.

I recently asked a question about some ideas for costumes for each of the seven deadly sins. the only thing we're having trouble with is lust, the sin of having extremely sexual desires. i had so many responses saying the person who was lust could wear hooker clothes or lingerie......problem is, our lust is a guy. we came up with one or 2 ideas, but we still don't think that's good enough. anyone know of some lusty male costumes? thanx in advance!
