Why is it that when Catholics confess their sins they go to a priest instead of going straight to God? The person who creates us and knows us. I think that that would be the best source instead of some one who is of flesh. Where does it say in the bible that you are supposed to confess your sins to a priest? Thanks in advance.

Ted Bundy is just an example of a brutal, unethical, serial killer - this question isn't restricted to him

My question is can cold blooded killers have compassion, have a care for others, engage in charitable works, or have a deep concern for social justice.
Can they be merciless when they brutally kill a woman and yet be compassionate and emphatic when they see an old beggar woman who needs something to eat?

Can they paradoxically both be very bad and very good simultaneously? Or would it be against their character or nature?

It seems you can sin as much as you want and still get into Heaven as long as you truly accept Jesus Christ into your heart. Do I have that right? Is this a loophole in the system?

Jesus was speaking of the Traditions of the Pharisees. Let us actually look at the Scriptures that apply to our discussion which are about Sacred Tradition.

St. Paul speaking of oral Tradition: (1Co 11:2 DRB) Now I praise you, brethren, that in all things you are mindful of me and keep my ordinances as I have delivered them to you.

This is St. Paul speaking about both oral and written Sacred Traditions. In his teaching notice he makes no distinction between the oral and the written Sacred Traditions. 2Th 2:15 DRB) (2:14) Therefore, brethren, stand fast: and hold the traditions, which you have learned, whether by word or by our epistle.

Here St. Paul is also speaking of both the written and the oral Traditions without distinction as to which is more authoritative (Phi 4:9 DRB) The things which you have both learned and received and heard and seen in me, these do ye: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Here St. Paul is teaching that we should not associate with people like yourself who denies the authority of Sacred Tradition (2Th 3:6 DRB) And we charge you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother walking disorderly and not according to the tradition which they have received of us.

Here St. Peter supports what St. Paul has been teaching about (1Pe 1:25 DRB) But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel hath been preached unto you.

I'm giving a speech on the Apache and wherever i go online, it says that there's really no difference between the Apache and the Navajo, other than the name. Is it true? Are there any reliable sources online where I can get more info on the Apache(my instructor said that we can't use Wikipedia).
Thanks

Somehow, the scientific community has failed to communicate the difference between Darwin's concept of 'origin of species' (which means how one-celled life forms self-propagated into all the different species we have on the planet today) and how/why life itself came to be, which evolution doesn't try to answer.

How can scientists communicate this to the religions, especially the fundamentalists? It's important, since leaders from all sides are confused, and the LAST thing we need is another Dark Ages because those in power refuse to understand science as it applies to reality.

Any good opinions out there?

You support others' free speech until you hear or see something you don't like.

Does this apply to you?
In what ways?

And this doesn't just have to do with religion.
It can be about anything at all.

For example, let's say you're a Christian.
You and an Atheist are having a conversation about the Holy Spirit (Jesus, God, or whatever).
But seeing as how you do believe in a God and the Atheist doesn't, you try to silence their right to free speech.

Or...

Would you allow them to go on, and listen to their reasoning to denying your God?

Apart from the book of fairytales, the bible, no other book mentions Jesus. And why is that?
Could it be that he never existed and some fools are following a myth?
Can someone , intelligent, show me a concrete proof of the existence of Jesus?

Where in the Bible (since Christians are supposed to abide by it) does it say that you should wear a mock-up of the Christ's execution/sacrifice?

I've seen elsewhere in the Bible that you should do otherwise, and not worship carved idols/graven images.

If a Christ on a cross is not a graven image, then what is it?

logical structur of their belief ?
OK but faith itself doesnt grasp logic when it falls to be analytic and science may not need faith when it falls to be synthetic .Trancedentally there is no such as synthetic but all will fall to be analytic and hence fall to grasp faith .Now from whom dou you think who really is the true christian .and who really is the snake destroying the laws of nature and all of what has been established by God onto nature as should man fallows .and from where is really the true source of all illusion onto this world which is the root of all evil of which materiality does'nt be blamed ???.and it is truly that animals attain their own perfection in nature that is they have adopt themselves onto it .They learn to survive by their own limitted abilities unlike man ?and man itself does not yet attain such kind of perfection relatively just a the animal perfection and infact man become devolved and not evolving and only continue to destroy every thing
