It's not a graven image.
Just like Catholic and Orthodox church and the statues or painting, Not graven images because we are NOT worshiping the images We are worshiping GOD. We worship Jesus.
Just like we do NOT worship The virgin Mary but we give her the respect and homage she deserves as the mother if Jesus.
The law against graven images applies to actually worshiping the image.

The reason for stained glass windows and the art in the 1st place is the Catholic and Orthodox Churches predate the printing press. During the dark ages common people couldn't read and write so the artwork is how they learned the stories in the bible. So we just stuck with the tradition of beautiful art work.

Actually, kind of agree with you. The Bible does say not to have a graven image, and this is why I am uncomfortable with crucifixes, icons, and paintings/stained glass supposedly portraying Jesus/God the Father/The Holy Spirit. I'm not sure why we Christians seem to forget that commandment, but I agree that it is a glaring oversight.
Now for me, I wear a cross --- just a simple cross, not a crucifix. You may not see the difference, but I do. 1) He is risen. He's not dead on the cross any longer. 2) How do I know what He looked like? I shouldn't be worshipping His image anyway! 3) Who decided that Jesus was a bearded white dude? That makes me uncomfortable. Jesus wasn't white.

a graven image is a cow, or a bird or a tower. Could be money, cars sex drugs rock and roll.
on the other hand, angels, saints, our lord, these are not graven images. Get real. Even God commanded the making of images. If you think everything is an idol, get rid of your bibles, pictures of Jesus, your crosses with no corpus on it etc.

It's art, not an idol to be worshipped. I really don't know anyone that would actually worhip an idol as if it were a God.

With your low IQ you would not understand the symbolism behind these things. They are not graven images but reminders. Peace
