If that's how you think you'll best remember him by, then sure. This Christian personally doesn't use the image of the cross to "pay homage to Jesus." I try to make my life a living example instead.

I do not believe this would be appropriate- if I had a son who died in a shooting- I could never wear a gun image, it would bring back horrible memories- I would want to remember my son as he was when he was alive. With Jesus, and Christian's, including myself wearing crosses it is a reminder of His sacrifice He paid to save us. Total difference. Your son , if he was shot, did not choose to die, Jesus did.
I have a question for you- why would you even mention something about your son being shot? Not something to use, even while you are mocking God- not good!!

No, it wouldn't, but this Christian doesn't use a cross either so don't generalize this logic to all Christians. Even if someone does use it though, I do not believe it is to pay homage to an execution, but rather, a Godly sacrifice.

We wear crosses to be reminded of the price Christ paid for our salvation. His willingness to suffer crucifixion showed his great love for us. Christians sometimes display pictures of bloody aborted babies because it's important that people know what abortion is really like. So, if there was some reason you wanted your son's death to be remembered by people, then sure, it would be OK to display an image of him being shot. A gun around your neck might be pointless, because people wouldn't know what it meant.

I'm not a mainstream "christian", however, what do you think? If he was the savior of the world and gave his life to teaching about the heavens and was shot by a gun, then why not? The cross is a sign of how the "son of God" was killed. I know you know that, you're just being a petulant child. (spiritually).

I too do not wear a cross nor feel the need to have one, however I respect people's right to worship as they please so long as it doesn't impede my rights!~

You know this is a really stupid question. I don't proclaim I understand the cross wearing either (my religion doesn't wear them), but I can say that when Christians wear the cross, it's in reverence and in rememberance of the atonement and sacrifice.

If your son were killed Iam sure you would wear or keep some kind of rememberance of him. When we wear a cross (Jesus has risen) or a crucifix(remembering our sins were nailed to that cross) that is a reminder to us what Jesus did for the world.

I don't agree with wearing a cross but your logic is a little off.
It would be more like you wearing a gun image if your son freely permitted himself to be shot so that you could live.

The go on the same time as a image of a curse God made into the logo of victory. while Jesus became into crucified the powers of the international concept that they had gained. yet, 3 days later Christ got here lower back to existence. It became into this meant victory by using the powers of this international and their party of it that got here to be shown as them being made a spectacle of their own defeat. The go then became a image of God's triumph over demise and hell, thuss its now a image of victory and eternal existence. all people who could come to God would desire to continuously go the the go for it is there that mankinds sins have been attoned for, as quickly as and for all.

Your son dying would be a tragedy. To Christians, Jesus dying is a triumph. Two different things.
