i've long said that if not for politics, this planet is so abundant that it could support 3X the current human population of the earth today, which would be 18 billion (18,000,000,000) people. it could feed, house, clothe, educate and medicate that many! but politics will not stop. people wish to follow leaders.

it seems as though people are letting it all fall apart. if i had a baby and no way to adequately feed and house it, i sure would not have another. what are people thinking, making all these kids?

we do not have viable energy alternatives in place whatsoever. so how then will we work and produce, because work is what keeps the money flowing.

humans take whatever they want out of the earth and from it, return garbage and toxic waste to the earth and to water.

where is fresh water for the current and ever rising population going to come from?

religion is the basis of so many wars. it seems like humans actually desire war.

what may happen to us?

Why don't we give the way Jesus said to instead of giving it to religious people who do what they want, like building churches, instead of what Jesus wants, like feeding and caring for the poor. (We know this from the Bible)

The thief on the cross did not need to be baptized because he was under the old law ... jesus told him that he would be with him in paradise ... correct?? well why did jesus tell Nicodemus in John 3 5 that he needed to be baptized to enter into the kingdom if Nicodemus was also under the old law ... jesus had not died yet so they were both under the old law. so was jesus really saying we need to be baptized to go to heaven in John 3 5 ... if you agree that being born of the water means being baptized in water, like Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3 5, because he was under the old law, the thief could not have went to heaven cause he was not baptized I just dont understand how Jesus would tell two different people exact opposite things Help ...God Bless

why most of the major religions portrays the almighty as a man.only hinduism portrays a male and a female.the male being nothing without his consort.dont you think a woman better fits the profile for the almighty.she will be like a mother and us her children.what about all the beauty of nature,it more looks like the work of a woman than a man.

If so, what makes you feel this way? How does that make you feel?

"Muhammad said, "It is indispensable for every Muslim to give alms." The companions asked, "But if he hath not anything to give?" He said, "If he hath nothing, he must do a work with his hand, by which to obtain something and benefit himself; and give alms with the remainder." They said, "But if he is not able to do that work, to benefit himself and give alms to others?" The Rasul (Muhammad) said, "Then he should assist the needy and the oppressed." They asked, "What if he is not able to assist the oppressed?" He said, "Then he should exhort people to do good." They asked, "And if he cannot?" He said, "Then let him withold himself from doing harm to people; for verily that is as alms and charity for him."

Here's mine!

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again.

I have some thoughts curious what others think.

A being that doubts is an imperfect being because a perfect being would have full knowledge, hence no need to doubt; therefore, I am an imperfect being.
Yet I could know that I am imperfect only by having the concept of perfection; therefore, I have the concept of perfection.
I could not have received the concept of perfection from something imperfect; therefore, my concept was not derived from myself.
Therefore, my concept of perfection was derived from something that is, in fact, perfect.
Only God is, in fact, perfect so I derived my concept of perfection from him; therefore, God exists

So many religions out there. Some are more strict than others. Some are pretty arobic kneeling, standing, sitting, singing and praying while others involve meditation and reflecting on life. Some churches don't require donations while others actually send you a bill for payment due. Some churches will remind you how wonderful life after death will be while other churches warn you of everlasting neverending unimaginable pain. I suppose if all religions are equal I will start out in the Mormon church because I want to have lots of wives and rule planets after I die. If that don't pan out i guess I will work my down the ladder to a born-again christian religion but I don't know what I'll have in common with some of their members like Jeffrey Damer, Hitler and Stalin

I was curious what happens when you transfer a church membership. Do you take a test? Or do they simply transfer you? I'm sure all churches are different, this is a Methodist church.
