My personal sacred space is a small area in the garden that I have planted as a Grove. It is surrounded by trees, Ash, Birch, Holly, Fig, Cherry, Elder, Apple and Sycamore with a small fire pit in the centre. It has a small altar on which I make offerings and keep a flame burning most of the time. It is my meditation space in good weather and a place where I perform ritual. I share it with friends and family too whenever the opportunity arises.
Do you have a sacred space, and will you tell me about it?

In the old, God promised to bless the people for their obedience or punish them for their transgressions, and the people agreed to His terms. It was a conditional covenant based on the ability of the people (the weaker party) to obey God. If they disobeyed there was a firm structure for punishment in place.

How does the new covenant differ. Please prove your point with scripture.

I John 5:16 If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

Is it me, or has that been dead and buried? It seems like service has gone to the hills and everyone is rude.

For Spanish I have to translate a book, do you know of any good translation sites online?

And can you tell me what this sentence is in English?

" Esta avenida va del parque al centro de la ciudad. "

I've translated it, but I'm not sure if I'm getting it right.

I make it a point to put the money or my debit card in her hand but she always lays my change and my debit card on the counter. I never intenionally lay my money down anyways but I started making sure of it because of this. I have a cast on my arm because I broke my wrist a few weeks ago and it is really hard to pick money and cards up off the counter when she lays it down there. I have not said anything to her about it because I dont want to make a scence, should I bring it up to her first or mention it to her manager?

it seems that many (not all) christians feel that when their country doesn't allow one religion (theirs) to considered above all other religions, that they're being oppressed, or discriminated against.

why did their religion evolve to such a state that they feel superior to every one else? is this one of the ways christianity recruits new members, it promises them a sense of entitlement?

...ritual abuse? If SRA is happening, why don't we hear more about it? Is it because the media is not focusing on it or because it is not happening. Anybody know?

I was surprised to hear a teacher tell a class of 14-16 year olds that she was a witch. I was not surprised by the fact she was, as I already knew this, but didn't expect her to tell this group of young people. I think they thought she was joking though LOL
So did anything happen that surprised you today?

First, let me say that there are a few things that are of importance to me as I gather with others (Church as we commonly refer to it).
The Essential Truth:
Jesus, who is God, crucified for our sins, is the only way by which we can be saved and brought into a relationship with God.
A few non - essentials (those things that bring deeper understanding to the essential truth);
1 Baptism in water.
2 Baptism in the Holy Spirit
3 Operation of the 5 fold Ministry (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers)
4 Operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit - Tongues, prophetic words, words of knowledge, discerning of spirits, etc..
5- Operation of the gifts of Power - Healing, casting out of demons, miracles, etc..
6 Worship, through song and music, is a celebration that we will live forever and is accompanied by dancing, clapping, shouting, a time that you wish wouldn't stop.
7 Teaching/Preaching would be relevant to what the Holy Spirit is saying to us now .

Am I Invited?

You see God is supposed to know everything. So,he must have known ,what would become of us,even before we were created.Did he then intend us to be like this?? Even if you go into the 'free will" argument,God would have known what we would do with our lives. In case you are wondering,I am not an atheist.

Me friend and I are trying to figure this out. I could have sworn that Jesus said in the Bible that you can pray anywhere because God is all around you and within you so a person doesn't have to go to church to pray. Also, didn't Jesus also say something about destroying the church and rebuilding it in three days or something like that?? Any information would be a huge help and if anyone knows where to find it in the bible would also be appreciated a lot!! Thanks to everyone in advance!

I am an American as well. I'm also a forgiving person. There is tons of security around the memorial of 9-11. I personally think it's pathetic that a grown man has to play the bully game. To me, it wreaks of being a control freak and doing his hardest to make the other guy look bad.

Think about it, Ahmedinajed (or however you spell that very odd name) may not be the most perfect man in history, but he's certainly not as bad as some others.

And recently he's been trying to open the lines of communication. He's sent letters offering to discuss the situation. Now he wants to place a wreath at a memorial, which is not even an Islamic thing. It's a Christian symbol, and Islamically that is him showing his respect and trying to make peace.

And what does our president do? Does he forgive and "look for the greater good" as his own words? No, he backtracks and acts like a child. I think that one has made the effort.
