In this modern day and age, what does "my country" really mean ? A people of similar culture ? Maybe. The USA is a country I visited a where I lived for sometime and a country I learned to love. The USA is probably the most beautiful country in the world. You need to visit it to REALLY understand what I mean. Within t the context of my question, let me say this -- I find it a little hard to see the USA as a country within the popular definition of "country" . They are a society of COMPLETELY different people, customs and mentality. It is a society completely devided by social class, colour (sorry... 'color'). My perception is that each American is first white, then of some social/financial class and then, at the bottom, American. How can anyone be proud of being American and less than 100 years ago hang fellow (black) Americans from trees and less than 15 years ago sustain anything like the LA riots (the outcome of trial of Rodney King). I'd love to read comments from Americans

I am about to talk about your communion.
Leviticus 17:12 Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood. Really the whole chapter would be best. So with that being said does that not mean that when your priest supposedly changes your wine into Jesus blood, it is going against God's law?

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
So with that being said Jesus didn't take that part out of the law.

Also if I was to put rat poison in the cup before the blessing would you still drink it? Or something that would kill you, not saying I would but it would prove my point, hmmmm.

Don't you agree that it's good to be in the know?

This has been verified on Snopes.com. It is a real threat. Pass it on.

This has been verified by the FBI (their link is also included

Please pass this on to everyone in your email address book. It
is
spreading fast so be prepared should you get this call. Most of
us take
those summonses for jury duty seriously, but enough people skip
out on
their civic duty, that a new and ominous kind of fraud has
surfaced.

&nb! sp;& ;nbs p; The caller claims to be a jury coordinator. If you protest that
you
never received a summons for jury duty, the scammer asks you for
your
Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can verify

Why are Christians the target of non-believers and antagonists? I don't care what you say, I have been watching the questions here for quite a long time, and when detractors post questions using terms like "fairy tales", "magic sky fairy", "sky daddy", etc., etc., at least over 90% of them are aimed at Christians. Why is that? If you think that God is a fairy tale and religion is bad like your professor at UC Berkeley told you, then why don't you aim the same amount of these attacks at Jews, or Muslims, or Hindus? Well, I know one big reason why: Because Institutions of Higher Learning (what a joke!) have systematically attacked Christianity and indoctrinated their minds-full-of-mush students into believing this garbage.

These attacks are better proof than anything else I kinow of that Christanity is the true religion. Why else would the world attack it so hard? Well, all you haters? Can you answer why you don't aim the same amount of these attacks at Jews, or Muslims, or Hindus?

Both sides of a religious debate tend to claim the other side is in denial, Theists often claim that Atheists are uncomfortable accepting salvation (I have seen this written as "like a cancer patient who doesn't want to visit the doctor" though I have lost the link at the moment) while Atheists (myself included) often feel that believers have trouble accepting a Godless existence.

Opinions anyone?

So, a christian and a yoga instructor were arguing... well the christian was arguing let me point that out clearly and the yoga instructor was quite calm...the whole thing was about how yoga opens you up to demonic activity and how yoga is bad and not allowed for christians... I remember hearing things like this when I was church but apparently it has gotten more severe... I really want to know what others think...my whole thing is that if christians are so afraid of yoga it is because they are afraid to open their minds up to their own strength. Preachers teach against it because they don't want you to realize you can feel whole and healthy, and relieve stress without having to pray or read the bible...

Nothing bad has happened to me and I have done yoga for years...I guess satan has just fooled me then right?

If someone says "Look here, a flaw in the Bible" your first thought is --

(A) Impossible, it is not a flaw. You are mistaken, but I may read it with you and attempt to help you understand. If I also do not undersand, I will research further and pray until I do understand.

(B) That's highly improbable, but I'd like to see what you have found in case you are correct and my Holy Book is imperfect.

(C) The Bible was written by men, translated by men. It is possible that there are mistakes in the text, but I still do not question God's perfection.

I am asking this question here because in R&S all you get is stupid nasty comments about Islam and Muslims.
So tell me please....if a person is feeling restless, impatient and has intense feelings because they miss someone who is far away, is it true that the other person can "feel" this? It's kinda hard to describe but can the other person have a feeling that someone is thinking of them? Someone once told me that the other person's soul can "feel" it when someone has intense feelings. Is this true?
