1. "Life is to live it" makes no sense. What does that say to do? It says nothing. Everything and anything is living your life. Please people, stop saying things like that.
2. Procreation is NOT a purpose. Evolution is a mindless natural process that can no more give purpose than a snowstorm can give purpose to a snowflake.
3. Everyone has to have a purpose otherwise they have no meaning and no meaning is no worth. People will deny having a meaning but in some other forum they'll start saying how they live for their job or their children - something.
4. When someone says "every one has a different purpose" they're no longer talking about a reason why we were put on earth (purpose of life), what they are talking about are ways to feel good about yourself and/or to forget that life is meaningless.
5. There is no purpose of life without God. Here is what the atheist Bertrand Russell said,
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell
Christians are NOT to be focused on the next life (heaven), Christians ought to be focused on a relationship with their Creator and that relationship is the purpose of life.

Well I know you like the guys but really it shouldn't be your focus. I know this because sometimes doing this may seem like it is fun and exciting, but deep down it's hurting your soul and you wish there was another alternative. I know the feeling. You maybe should change your outlook and try as hard as you can to stay committed to Islam. And whenever you fall (don't plan on falling...) stand straight up, full of encouragement and challenge yourself to do better than you did the last time. Do this immediately. This is how I look at it. But don't see it as a hassle, more like a personal liberation from everything going on in daily life. Sometimes without Islam, personally, life would be way too chaotic for me to handle. As far as trying to look good and being healthy, there's nothing wrong with it, but just perhaps change your intentions, because intentions are totally important. I know you might feel this isn't relevant but I used to kind of be how you were, and I've been fighting it ever since. Except of course I am of the opposite gender than yourself. Well, I always wanted it, but at the same time couldn't stand the fact that I wanted to attract the opposite gender and always wanted to fight it but never did. I never thought I would marry, and nor did I want to. I never thought I'd fall for a girl, nor did I want to (I was always straight and will always be straight). But, when I least expected it, and without even trying to look for a partner, I met a girl who has changed my life for the better and I'll never let her go. She means the world to me, and I thank Allah every day for it. It's the best feeling ever. We are not married yet but we do plan on it someday. So what I'm trying to tell you is if you are interested maybe deep down you're seeking someone who is more like a soul mate for you but instead you have been doing all these things in order to find that person when in reality it is unnecessary. When I found this person I was not looking and couldn't have ever imagined it working out how it did with such the circumstances back then. So I am advising you to not search it neither, let it come to you, and when it comes, you will enjoy it so much and it'll be great. I wish you the best, keep on striving in Islam and doing whatever it is makes you happy in this life. Big things come in small packages. May Allah reward you and keep you safe always. Take it easy, Salam :)

God created Adam and Eve to live in a paradise world and be perfect humans and have a happy life. And yes, they were created to worship God, but this was not a burden to them. If we get to know God, we see his personality traits and see that he is Love, Justice, Wisdom and Power. And he's perfect in those traits. (1Jo 4:8; Pr 2:6; Ro 11:33; De 32:4; Lu 18:7, 8; Job 37:23; Lu 1:35; James 4:8)
And God's intentions for the world have not changed. He intends to put it back like it was in the beginning, and have perfect humans living here on this earth that he created for them. God says at Isaiah 55:11 - "so my word that goes forth from my mouth will prove to be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly do that in which I have delighted, and it will have certain success in that for which I have sent it."

The great thing about life, is that you get to determine that.
Religious people will say that they have a purpose in life, and it is loving Jesus or Allah. What they really mean is there is no other purpose in this life other than striving to get to the next one.
This is a really sad way to live, especially if their contention in an afterlife turns out to be false.
You have the ability to build purpose and meaning in life. I personally find meaning and purpose in family, friends and experiences. Money means nothing to me, cars and houses don't bring happiness. But seeing my children happy, hanging with friends and learning new things really brings me personal joy, and helps me help others to find theirs.
That is true purpose, rather than having a gloomy outlook, thinking that the world is going to shite and is out to get you. Wondering when a deity is going to return and make you happy, by killing all the naughty people. That is a very depressing way to live.

Real purpose? I think every ones purpose is different. My purpose is to be a civil rights activist and change the perception of the African American community and try my best to lift stereotypes associated with the AA community. I'd also love to be a lawyer and successful business owner. Also, I want to have a beautiful happy family, work hard, and be generous!

The real purpose of life is to bring about the Kingdom of God here and now. This is done by loving God will all of our heart, mind, soul and strength and our neighbor as ourselves.
This is the Catholic point of view. It is not about personal gain. It is about loving and serving God and others.

to serve God, and to enjoy life to the fullest. this can ONLY be accomplished when we are made perfect, and can make perfect decisions which do not adversely affect others... this is why ONLY God's Way of Life is the one and only correct way to live life. His Law and Justice will not be perverted.
