that someone asks why you're here or some other question that's been asked again? Why do you answer those questions to begin with? Just writing "cheers" or "bottoms up" will not get you drunk.

If you do actually drink every time one of those questions are asked, you have a serious problem and should go to a detox clinic ASAP. Step 1 is admitting that you are powerless of Alcohol.

so we have to admit that we are powerless over pretend alcohol? interesting concept.

btw, I think this question qualifies as a *drink*.

If you read a little further, you'll notice that atheists answer many questions quite thoughtfully. Also, you may notice that there are questions that qualify for drinks for the religious people too, so pour yourself a glass and get ready!

*Suddenly feels sober* Really??

No, I'm here for several reasons:
1. R&S questions are shown in the Society & Culture list and that's where I read and answer - R&S is not my focus.
2. Questions are addressed to Atheists in R&S....
3. I would like to return to Christian belief, except that no one can provide any evidence for either god or the bible.
4. Christian morality is being legislated and that is not good for society. Laws should be made independent of any given morality.
5. Our education system is bad enough without adding myths as a alternative to science.

Didn't you know? They have a dehydration problem, so they have to come on R&S so they know when to rehydrate themselves. It's a good thing we're here to help them.

EDIT: Matt, yes I've noticed there are repetitive questions for Christians on here. But instead of mocking people asking valid questions, we prefer to answer their questions the best we can, over and over, if necessary. It's worth our time.

Atheists _believe_ in something as well, the non-existance of a superior being. Since both existance as non-existance can't be proven yet I... wonder if they're not just as religious.

I'd like an espresso please ;-)

Hey "Backlashing Catholic", you want to take it easy a little?

But I will say that "spdesai7" at the top sounds a little narrow minded herself.

Its a defense mechanism..... they need to insert humor to take focus off the issue & lack of evidence. Besides, you'd have to use some substance to believe what they believe in wouldn't you?! :-)
