I am a novice in researching Christianity but I have formed some opinions. I have also accepted a belief in the existence of the old Hebrew God, Yaweh and his son Yeshua and the basic Bible story and time line.

However, the Bible which Christianity stands by, whatever version, is fundamentally a collection of books, letters, verses, psalms etc etc written by various people over a spread of time. The New Testament came into being I am told by Constantine forging Christianity as the official religion to pacify his Empire, intergrating other religious beliefs and customs.

Constantine effectively was the editor and publisher (?)

So, how can we trust that the presentation of the Bible is as God wanted? It's a bit like an author writing a book and selling th film rights where the film is pretty much a different story, at least a different message, but the general population take the film as being the true original story.

What texts were left out?

A woman I have known over the years has always had a passive-aggressive mean streak to her, but I believe people are usually good at the core, even if they don't know how to express it. I think I am wrong in this assumption.

After not seeing her for a long time, she got in touch with me and I invited her to a dinner I was organizing at a local restaurant for five friends. She accepted. Within a week she complained the start time was too late - I foolishly accommodated her. Over the next few days she objected to the chosen restaurant - an inexpensive local Chinese restaurant. Too bad, my friends have budgets. At dinner, she attacked me in front of my friends because the restaurant was not very classy and wasn't I afraid that this reflects poorly on me. Wow.

That's the last of many straws. However, I previously invited her to a dinner party I'm hosting out a house outside the city (so I'm hosting her for a weekend in the country at no cost to her).

How do I un-invite her?

Do U sometimes wake up with new understanding?

1. This morning I did, regarding the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil. It was a good tree. Nothing poisonous about it. It was just the one tree God said to not eat of.

So? It was a Holy Tree. Special. The knowledge of good & evil is this. To eat of this tree, you would disobey God. To not eat of it is obeying God. Eating the fruit did't kill them. Disobeying God did. That is what evil is. Disobeying/rebelling Gods Word. To disobey God realizing this is sin & sin is evil.
What killed them 1st, was actually then denied the Tree of Life & so dieing 'spiritually'. Then physical death happened within 1000 yrs.
So? This is like the 1st tithe. We can touch it. Smell it. Just not eat of it. It is Holy to the Lord.

2. Then also, Jesus is the firstling, born as shepherds are in the field. He is the 'Lamb of God' So? The firstling is a tithe. (Like Able) So? He fulfilled the tithe on the cross? Paying Himself for us

I wish to apology for anyone's blatant insensitivity to the 9/11 attacks. All of you know who I am talking about . It is not my fault, I know, but we must counteract these comments with words of love and memory. For those who lost loved ones that day, may God give you peace, and for those who haven't and choose to remember, God bless you.

Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better
on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly God was
tired of hearing all the bickering.
Finally fed up, God said, "THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to
set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge
who does the better job."
So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.
They moused.
They faxed.
They e-mailed.
They e-mailed with attachments.
They downloaded.
They did spreadsheets!
They wrote reports.
They created labels and cards.
They created charts and graphs.
They did some genealogy reports
They did every job known to man.
Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than hell.
Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed
across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and, of course, the power
went off.
Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known
in the underworld.
Jesus just sighed.
Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their
computers. Satan started searching frantically, screaming:
"It's gone! It's all GONE! "I lost everything when the power went out!"
Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past
two hours of work.
Satan observed this and became irate.
"Wait!" he screamed. "That's not fair! He cheated! How come he has all
his work and I don't have any?"
God just shrugged and said,
JESUS SAVES

ok, I'm ok with paying for lunch and stuff with my girlfriend, no big deal, I make more money than her, and that's fine...but I don't make a TON of money and I end up spending a lot of money on movies, lunches, dinner etc to the point where I can't really buy a ton just for me, and my girlfriend rarely pitches in...unless i mention it. We'll be at lunch and she'll say "i can't pay, i have no money", then right after we'll go to a store to look around, and she'll buy a $130 chair for her apartment, and pay in cash...I brought it up and she just said "you're mean" and just got mad about it...I don't know, am I wrong for wanting her to pitch in sometimes IF she actually has money to spend on herself? I mean we've been dating for 3 years, we're past the guy always paying stage. how do i bring this up without sounding mean?
