Because those who think they've been appointed to interpret the "creator's" wishes and make sure that everybody else is obeying them - are puritanical, bossy old jerks who don't want anybody to enjoy life.

Look up the definition of lust. "Intense" is used in the definition. I think if you are going over and over a lustful thought or intensely desiring anything, then perhaps lust is a problem. I wouldn't call that natural. If the thought or desire completely consumes you, then there is a problem. It's not only sexual but it applies to many other areas too. I think all of us know the moment we enter into lust. I also think we'll know when it becomes a sin in our lives. At least for us who know better.

Very true, why create driving, instinctive emotion and then condemn it as bad (not to mention that for men it is a physical pressure)?

Also consider that the same "creator" made the rest of creation to display almost every form of mating that we consider "sinful" i.e. incest, polygamy, mating with a provider but getting fertilized by another, committing adultery with the alpha male's "harem" and very few species showing a limited form of monogamy.

Lust is just the animal coming out. If you are married it is not a sin! To lust in your heart is a sin.
