-Marking the shared flavored coffee creamer in the office "breast milk" so I could have the rest of it to myself
-Laughing at my boss when she sends an email out to the entire company with misspelled words such as "waist" instead of "waste"
-Leaving a note on the car next to me that takes up 2 spaces in the parking garage that says "Your car is really not that cool."
Well these are this morning sins so far anyways...........

Selfish actions are sinful.
No, it's not a sin to do things for yourself. But if doing them harms someone, or is done simply to fulfill a selfish desire without having any true benefit for yourself or another, then that action is harmful not only to others but to yourself as well.
A sin is any action that goes contrary to the will of God. He sets down guidelines (or laws) so that we may know what actions will harm ourselves and others, and so that we can avoid those actions. Every time we hurt ourselves and others, it is a sin.
This isn't a hellfire and brimstone answer. Taking the last of the yogurts from the fridge obviously is not on the same level as murder. But whenever we sin, it is up to us to try and correct it. Otherwise, we leave ourselves and others in pain.
Isn't that a sin?

Anything that separates someone from God. Anyway, here is a list of what the Bible says is sinful:
-sexual immorality: fornication, homosexuality, prostitution, sex with animals, raping someone
-murder: which would include murder of someone else, murder of self and murder of babies (abortion)
-hatred
-selfish ambition
-envy, jealousy, coveting
-anything that is impure
-witchcraft, spiritism, sorcery
-idolatry
-rage, anger (at least uncontrolled anger), losing one's own temper
-malice, slander, gossip, filthy language from one's lips, bitterness, brawling, obscenity, coarse joking-includes swearing and cursing
-lust
-evil desires
-pride and boasting, being conceited
-drunkenness
-dissensions
-factions
-orgies
-carousing
-debauchery
-having love of money, self, or possession/pleasure
-being abusive
-being unforgiving
-disobedient to parents
-brutal, rash, treacherous
-stealing
-lying (includes white lies)
-adultery
-lacking/losing self-control
-ungrateful, unholy, not lovers of what is good
-gluttony
You get the idea. All of these and any I may have missed are what separates us from God. But that is why people need to become Christians and have the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Also humility, mercy, being poor in spirit, being meek, letting your Christian light shine, being the salt of the earth, compassion, purity, sharing the truth and whatever I may have missed. You get the idea about what makes up a Christian/godly life and behaviour. Think about the two lists: which would people want? That which is sinful and causes destruction, problems, and so forth, or that which is Christian/godly and brings life and healing, and love is shared/spread out, and no problems and so forth-which do people want? And also, which is more beneficial?

There is no "sin" per say in my belief system. Things are measured against a simple rule
Does it harm yourself?
Does it harm another?
Does it harm the earth?
If the answer is "yes" then avoid doing it or face the responsibility and consequences of doing it if you decide to act in a way that will cause harm to yourself, someone else or the planet.
It's a pretty broad yardstick but allows for far more intelligent development of your own ethics and morals than having EVERYTHING spelled out for you- what to eat, who to have sex with, who to marry, what to wear, how to treat others etc. like some religions do.

All that is not of faith is sin.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Sin is present in human history; any attempt to ignore it or to give this dark reality other names would be futile. To try to understand what sin is, one must first recognize the profound relation of man to God, for only in this relationship is the evil of sin unmasked in its true identity as humanity's rejection of God and opposition to him, even as it continues to weigh heavy on human life and history.

You are dead in sin until you reconnect with God by way of Christ Jesus. So giving you a list of sins will not help because we are born in sin because of Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden. Your blood carries their blood of life that God gave.

Simply know this: What is morally wrong for you, causes harm to others and diverts you from the truth is sinful.
Then there's the specific types of food that is sinful to consume, either because of being toxic, harmful or addictive like intoxication (smoking, taking drugs), bacon, meat of dogs, snakes, already dead animals and those killed in cruelty.
