I have an uncle who is a practicing orthodox jew, yet he owns a strip club. No joke! Isn't this looked down severely by their belief system? Just curious.

I'm Eastern(Romanian) Orthodox but I don't understand written Romania too well since I've lived here since I was nine and it would definetly be a struggle.. I know perfect English though, but i don't know what Bible I should read?My mom wouldn't want me to read anything different from the Eastern Orthodox Bible, yet I really want to start reading the Bible. Are there any real differences between Bibles? And which one would be closest to the Eastern Orthodox one? Any ideas on what I could do?

Why should homosexual marraige be outlawed if they haven't hurt anyone? Their marraige doesn't go against any of the Ten Commandments last time I checked "Thou shall not marry someone of the same sex" wasn't one of the 10 commandments unless you christians have changed it. Is marrying someone of the same sex murder? is it stealing? is it doing any physical harm to anyone? if not why, besides being christianly immoral, should it be outlawed?

If you read the news headlines. Christian politicians, caught in Homosexual acts, The church paying 100's of millions of dollars for sex abuse cases. TV preachers like Jim Baker, Oral Roberts, Pat Robinson, etc doing bad things. Mega churches making money off of the people they are suppose to be helping. The hate of pagans, homosexuals, intolerance of other religions, wars . The list goes on. Are pagans really THAT bad?

I have just lost 100 pounds in 9 months. I have noticed a definite difference in the way people treat me from 9 months ago. More people will stop me on the street and visit. As well as much more attention from men than I use to have. What is this??? I am the same person inside as I was 9 months ago!!!

Why is it that all nativity scenes include three wise men? The Bible never says how many wise men, only that Jesus recieved gifts of three types. The wise men arrived when Jesus was a small child, not at his birth. Why has this falsity not been stopped?

Who the Hades was the lonely person who decided it was them against the world when they came up with those terms?

I mean, I'm Pagan, and when the term "believer" is used, it usually refers to Christians. And "nonbeliever" refers to Atheists.

You people who use those terms don't even phrase it something like "A question for believers, non-believers, and the rest of you weirdos on this site". No, it's always like, "Why are you a non-believer?"

So, why do you do guys do it? Is it because you're that shallow-minded and paranoid, or what?

... to explain 2 Samuel 12:8

Here, YHWH tells David that had he only asked, YHWH would have provided David with even more wives.

"And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things."

Some people say that "some one cursed you and hence you are suffering in so and so way". Some people say that you are suffering due to the application of "witchcraft". Are all these reliable facts? Do they really exist?

I have A son who is in public primary school. WE have gone to great lenghts to teach him right from wrong, this includes the proper instruction of god almighty. My child has the right to " In god we trust" and he has A right to the pledge of alegence,
" One nation under god ". Schools totally ignoring god, discredits our religious beliefs.
More wars have been fought and more lives have been lost in the name of religion, than all other subjects combined. Does this mean that history must also be abolishes from public schools. Is there to be A group who decides what books our children can and cant have in their library. Perhaps we can repeate our countrys greatest humiliation ,. "Salem witch trials" for history does repeat it self .
