So good deeds don't get you into heaven, faith (to your deity of choice) does the trick? I'm not intending to be inflamatory, but does this mean that some believe Paul Hill (the infamous Pensacola killer) is living it up in heaven and Mohandas Ghandi is being punished? I realize that is a little black and white and doesn't take into account a lot of factors, but you get the idea.

I'm usually a "live and let live" kinda gal here on Y!A and think that it is an interesting forum for the exchange of ideas; in addition, I am generally annoyed with the name calling that occurs without using supporting evidence. However, I can't seem to get my head around this concept so I'm looking for some input.

Oh, and one last thing, if you are a Paul Hill fan you can just skip this question or at least don't use it as your sick little soapbox.

Think about it.I asked earlier about whether God is the most corrupt.But religion seems even more corrupt since it has the most influence in the lives of the majority of people on Earth.So doesn't that mean, by this rule, that religion is the most corrupted thing on Earth?


Besides, I don't believe in God and so how could something that is an invisble piece of the imagination be corrupt?

i want to decorate the outside of the house, have lights on the roof, the reindeer in the front yard, you know the works, because i have a 2 yrd old niece, and she loves the lights, everytime i go out to the garage, she pulls out the little mini christmas tree and asked me to light it up
i just want to know how much is it going to cost me to decorate our house
my neighbor said it cost him 85 bucks for the lights, the reindeer, etc. etc. even the decoratons on the roof
is this going to cost me a lot?

Ok. heres the real deal.

Jesus appearred 2000 years ago. and he spread the word of God about justice and love and that kind of stuff, and the most important thing .. hell and heaven... you will go to heaven if you are a good person and you will rot in hell if you are not. also if you dont beleive in God you'll end up in hell... now

¿since human kind has been wondering around for almost 2-1 million years. what happened to all those billions of people that have lived and died and didn't now anything about God. ? what happened to everyone that beleive in those greek Gods? what happened to all those mortal souls that beleive in Egiptian Faraohs and those Gods?:.. what happened to those who didn't beleive in any God just because they didn't had education? or those who didnt know how to read ?

Does that mean that all those poor BILLIONS of souls that live before jesus time WENT TO HELL ????.. or do they not count??? what happened to them ???.. LIMBO ????

Fantasy books/movies/games that depict magic, etc...

Violent books/movies/games that depict realistic violence/war

Books/movies/games that depict sexual material of a non-pornographic nature (I think we'd all agree porn is damaging to everyone, especially children).

Books/movies/etc... with bad language up to and including the foulest of all, the Lord's Name in vain.

This question is posed because I know several people who freak out if their kid play Final Fantasy or see a little T&A but let their kids play violent games or watch violent movies. Or those parents who drop the JC's and GD's but reprimend their kids if they say "fart."

Hi. I'm doing a lesson at church on Sunday about the Law of Chastity (complete sexual abstinence before marriage and complete fidelity to spouse within marriage).

I want to know how many other religions (eg Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Islam, spiritual, etc) believe in practicing sexual morality.

Please include the name of your religion or belief system.

I am also interested in a brief description of why you believe in sexual morality. Please no cut and pastes that take up more than one screen.
