While there are still people intent on living the lives of other people because they cannot handle their own, Diana will be held up as an icon at all possible opportunity.

Diana was a wonderful as a princess could be (have you heard of any other great princesses?). Her life was also a true testimony to the tragic life and snobbery of the out-dated royal traditions of the royal family. Many other princesses suffer much of the same problems she faced, but none of them have been as bold as she was or has handled it with such grace as she did. We have Princess Masako here in Japan battling depression, females royals of Saudi Arabia frightened to even let the rest of the world know their names. Diana proved that freedom comes at great cost when you are a part of the royal household.

They had their own individual strengths; it's hard to decide. Although Grace was originally a bit of a 'girl' (if you know what I mean), she definitely rose to the occasion when she became a royal. She was regal, classy, and beautiful. Diana wasn't 'classy' so much. Her endless affairs and tell tale behaviours let her down, but her beauty was undeniable.

As far as I'm concerned, yes, you're the only one who's tired of Princess Diana. What would she have to do to be a great Princess? She raised awareness of AIDS, when no one would even go near the victims, for fear it was contagious. There was condemnation because it was considered only a gay disease- and furthermore, that they "deserved"it because of the lifestyle. She bravely stepped forward and dispelled these notions not only by speaking out, but also using her celebrity to raise money to find medicine (there's medicine now mainly due to her embracing the research) and having her picture taken visiting and comforting them. The measure of a person isn't always found in a report card- she certainly led the way when a lot of "smarter" people were ignoring their existence. She also raised awareness of poverty, hunger, and the use of land mines, that were maiming and killing people. There's more to being a Princess than wearing pretty clothes and going around with your nose in the air, and shouting "off with your head!"

This has been covered in several resolved questions, but my answer remains the same. I have no problems with Diana. What I have the problems with is the people who believe she walked on water and howl down anyone who disagrees with their ideal person. I have problems with the media who encourage conspiracies with the issue of every paper. I have problems with the telly people who make unsubstantiated shows of so called experts and disguise them as facts, and the gullible people who sit riveted to the screen and believe everything they see. I am tired of the people who make money off a dead person.

What made her recognizable beside her personal life is her humanitarianism. She cared and gave attention to those that people would not even care look twice. She went to actual locations of these poor and helpless and gave recognition to the world. She was a princess that cared for others and had a big heart while other royalties would not even step foot in a poor country to show support and help.

How could you say, that :O
She semed like a great person, and she was loved by so many people, and she died a horribule death, and she will allways be rememberd by the people of UK.
You say that it is boring that they have to make movies about her, and keep on trying to figguir out if she was really murded or not. Would´nt you want that people tried to find out who killed you or if it just were a accident, if you hade been in a car accident chased by reporters and if maybe it was a orderd murder??
Maybe it has gone 10 years, but almost everbody in the UK loved her, and i just think that it is allright that they try to find out why she died and so on ;)

There's a lot of people on Y/A who seem to hate Princess Diana and the rest of the British Royal Family. However, try to understand her sons mourn her, they loved her, you can't blame them for doing a concert for her and a memorial.

I don't think she was dumb but it is interesting to see how people are still obsessing over her 10 years later. Check out this link. You might enjoy the article.

Yes, I agree it is getting rather tiresome. Maybe now that 10 years have gone by interest in her death will diminish. Possibly when it comes to book learning she was a bit dim, but she had what we call in America street smarts. And her life will not be forgotten, she was the best thing about the royal family and taught them alot about what it means to be human.
