This might make me seem borderline paranoid but when I am at home and need to use the toilet I always check behind the shower curtain before I can sit on the toilet.
I'm not sure why I started doing this, or why someone would be standing in my shower. I'm not even sure what I would do if I ever found anyone standing there...besides pee my pants.

Not rituals as such, but routines like going to bed at the same time every night, doing my washing on a Thursday...

yea, like at night, I have to go to the bathroom and wash my hands right before i go to sleep, and i have to put my night slippers right next to my bed, in an orderly fashion. (im a neat freak)

That's called OCD, or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and can be successfully treated with medication.
