I think I was born dancing...I used to do it all the time when I was a kid. I even taught my older brothers to dance so that they wouldn't look like idiots at the school dances, and I was only 10 at the time!

I was a very enthusiastic boog-a-looer, and twister. Absolutely ADORED cutting the rug with a partner who could actually do swing. Had a boyfriend in college who taught me how to ballroom dance (imagine that?!). Embraced disco quite happily when that became popular.

In general, I enjoyed all forms of dance until my arthritis set in 10 years ago. Now I can't even slow dance because my left knee will mis-mesh at the slightest sideways pressure and then lock up on me (with much pain from pinched nerves involved).

I miss it.

Back when the TWIST was big...1959?...I and my neighbor used to win free tickets to the next Friday dance at the Kiwanis hall. I'm more into jitterbuggin' than anything else (my mom taught me how when I was a kid)...and my lady and I like to hold tight to slow dances (flip side of GREEN ONIONS is over 3 minutes long..great belly rubbin' music!). The summer I was 16, west of Huron, Ohio there was a place called THE NOTE on Lake Eire. I got kicked along with 5 other guys/gals for doing the DIRTY DOG. he he
In Yokohama, Japan in the early 70's we used to go to the COWBELL ...big dance was the CHICKEN. Split my pants doing that one night.

first factor i visit declare is this - I even have in no way cherished Miley Cyrus in any respect. yet she has a respectable voice (greater suitable for pop than u . s . a . nonetheless) She is likewise starting to be up. If her followers do in contrast to what she is doing now, they'll ought to locate somebody else to be loopy approximately. She's particularly no longer Disney orientated to any extent further and clearly she does not care.. She isn't somebody for babies to look as much as anymore which you are going to see everytime she's contained in the widely used public eye at the instant. regrettably that's what happens while maximum youthful stars advance up and in specific contained in the track enterprise. anybody thinks intercourse sells track. If we don't purchase from those that gown, act and appear as if tramps, then consistent with possibility the industry will start to alter. yet do no longer anticipate it. There are too many that think of seems are greater significant than expertise.

Yes, I thought the only reason I lived was to dance.

I was raised in a Town of 9,000 and all the kids knew how to jitter bug.

My dating years were during the fabulous fifties.

I wouldn't date a guy unless he was 6 feet tall or taller and could jitter bug.

I also taught dozens of guys how to dance.

The music was the best and we always had community dances every Fri. and Sat. night.
along with Jitter Bug Contests.

I married my dream guy. He was 6 feet 2 inches and was the best dancer in town.

We usually always won the dance contests.

I'm not able to walk on my own now but I enjoy watching my husband dance with our daughter's and granddaughter's.

The granddaughters are amazed by his dancing and stand in line to dance with him.

Back in the old days, friends called him Jim Dandy after the song Jim Dandy and they called me Party Doll after the song called Party Doll.

Do you recall those songs? They were fast and so fun to dance to.

Thanks for jogging my memory.

I wrote in my personal history, If I had a wish, that I would wish for two wishes.

1st Wish would be to bless my family and all the families of the world.

2nd Wish, would be to go out dancing with my husband, just one more time.

Thanks for the memories. Good Question.

I loved dancing when I was younger, I still dance in the house, just turn on the stereo and dance my fanny off when I am cleaning the house. It is much more fun that way!

I am sure my neighbors, if looking in my windows, think I am having a seizure or something, LOL

Oh yes....as a teen and into my twenties, was always at the nearest dance if there were one. Today, I love ballroom and Latin dance, Argentine Tango. I dance whenever I can, always at least once a month, but usually once a week. When given the chance to dance or sit it out, always DANCE. Good luck and peace, Goldwing.

I had danced with my friends in processions and ceremonies but that was long ago.Club dancing was unknown .There is no question of shaking legs now voluntarily. That happens involuntarily.
