I'm watching something about it on the history channel, and I am very skeptical about these people who claim to have seen a UFO close up (not the normal lights flashing in the sky) I remember seeing something from the 50's and some guy with an indian head dress said he was taken to jupiter, LOL.

i knew a Muslim who inform me that his prayers were actually answered by God, and also a Christian who told me that God also answered his prayers.

so how can you explain this? if both Muslim and Christian say that the other religion is wrong, then how can both prayers from both Muslim and Christians are being answered by God? so does that mean they worship the same God?

Read this link above:
(Summary of what it says:)
Adam and eves original sin wasn't disobedience, but was SEX
They didn't bite the apple, but satan tempted them to have sex instead

Now because of that there are 2 different seeds of people on earth, one from satan and one from god

A lie made up about the bible, or is something true?

what do you think about people who believe this?

let me hear your responses to this blasphemy!!

There was a question posed with the earlier group and I would like to ask a connecting question to it. Basically a mom was at her kids school and saw visibly displayed, a gay pride sticker in the school office. Her question was, you cant display religious things, why could you post a gay pride sticker. Obviously this is not a church/state issue. But it got me thinking about where do we as a society draw the line as to what is acceptable in our public schools. What about some ethnic pride sticker ie: Latino pride, White pride, Black pride, etc This of course doesnt violate any seperation of Church/state laws;as well these dont: "I support the NRA" sticker, or a sticker of NOW (National organization for women) and Planned Parenthood. All these other things just support an ideal and are not in of themselves degrading others, right? Who decides what is acceptable to show support for in the office of a public school? I look forward to hearing everyones thoughts on this.

I dont get it, if a white women with blond hair and blue eyes interbreeds with a Black, then they will have babies with black skin, black eyes, and black curly hair that only looks good in braids or shaved off.
The child will look nothing at all like the white women, it wont have strait blond hair, or blue eyes or whites skin, and their is a 99% chance than none of her genetic traits will surfece in her childs future offspring, they will be lost forever

So how is it they get the "best of both worlds" it sounds like a pipe dream to me.

Also biracial children have lower IQs then whites
Avg. IQ of a white - 100
biracial - 89
black - 85

I love all the fantastic Gods and other scary creatures of the imagination often born of ignorance, they are so legion and so creatively thought out.

Why do you think *some* people are hostile or defensive or whatever when discussing religion. Do you think it's because of the different implications/beliefs in the afterlife and/or eternity? Why do you think some people are condescending about it?

Loaded question, I know.

wouldnt he allow all of us into heaven? Why do you say that god is great, and that god loves you, and that he will forgive you, and that he wants you to be with him? And then you turn around and say that it only applies to those that think and worship just like you? If god is truly benevolent then he does not or should not care about what we believe in. If it is true that salvation only applies to people of one certain faith, then god is not good and he is not worthy of worship.

suppose I started my own country and said that anyone can come live in my country. In my country there will be complete religious freedom. Then when you get there I arrest those that do not worship the flying spaghetti monster. Then normally you would ask "but you said religous freedom" and I would response "only those that think and worship like me have religious freedom, everyone else is lost." Would that be fair?

Me and my family do a haunted house every year for halloween and it's always been scary but I have been wanting to find a good recipe for fake skin, scabs, and blood that glows under a black light. I am going to be dressing up as leatherface so I will need there to look like I have had victims and I would like it to be homemade.

There was a question a few days ago about whether atheists ever ask, "Could I be wrong?" One that more applies to me is, "Does your heart ever melt towards God?"

Yes, mine has recently because of spending time with two loving and rational Christians, one my best friend, the other one of his friends. Well I felt my heart becoming more open so I just asked God, "If you're real, have him call me right now so I can discuss these things." Well that never happened. So tonight I started talking to him and felt it again, but I got nothing but divided attention and apathy. I got mad so I started instant messaging him bible quotes that showed him what he was doing wrong and how I felt. They went totally over his head. So why the hell should I ever believe this when every time recently, I get apathy and no attention from those who are supposed to be evangelists? In the very least he could at least spur his followers to at least give attention to those that are seeking, should he not?

Reason for Objection
The Muslim takes exception to the word "begotten", because begetting is an animal act, belonging to the lower animal functions of sex. How can we attribute such a lowly capacity to God? Metaphorically we are all the children of God, the good and the bad, and Jesus would be closer to being the Son of God than any one of us, because he would be more faithful to God then any one of us can ever be. From that point of view he is preeminently the Son of God.
Although this pernicious word "begotten" has now unceremoniously been thrown out of the "Most Accurate" version of the Bible, the Revised Standard Version (R.S.V.), its ghost still lingers on in the Christian mind, both black and white. Through its insidious brainwashing the white man is made to feel superior to his black Christian brother of the same Church and Denomination. And in turn, the black man is given a permanent inferiority complex through this dogma.

She claimed she heard God tell her to go to Calcutta, and laments God never spoke to her again. How could she be blind to the significance of hearing God even once! Most people are never spoken to by god, and any time a person is contacted by God is a rare and significant miracle! How could she help so many people and not realize NONE of them ever received a message from god at any time in their lives except her?

Okay I am annoyed at the fact people are called racist for the littlest things nowadays. I mean if i see someone with Asian eyes and I say they look Asian because of their eyes I become a racist. If I say someone is shaped like a black girl because of maybe the size of her buns or the structure of her back I become racist. How is that racist? Some people look black. Some people look white. Some look Asian. I am not putting any race down. Yes, they are generalizations but still. If i saw a black person with blue eyes and light curly hair the person most likely has a european ancestor or parent. Do you get what i am saying?
