theres a guy in my class who goes to the same church, and has the same values, as me. yet we are totally different. he loves to debate everyone who even mentions the word evolution.
but i like to go by the phrase, "Speak the gospel everyday of your life, and if neccessary, use words"
what do i do from stopping people think our whole church is like him?

I had to chuckle at your your phrase. I've heard it 'preach the gospel......' meaning let your actions define the truth of your heart.

there is nothing you can do for him when you have you head stuck up your own anal cavity oh geez I am sorry you were speaking of the gospel.......isn't that like the words of god............. it is good that you have god in your life the way he gives you the strength to debate such a dilema
by giving you strength and others at your church then the whole congrigation and feel unification...................and show your appreciation to god by giving money to support your pasture and church and spreading thew word of god and that must make your god very happy so happy thatall the elderly that have worked all their lives to get us from the past to the present are tossed aside to dwindle in the last years the golden years...................oh and lets not forget all the exploited children forced into slavery or prostitution.....that have no one to love them or nurture them.....or how about the people that starve to death every day of the year or die of disease that is preventable....................or last but not least all the men women and children that have been slaughtered through out the sands of time ......I dont know how old you asre I recommend you and your buddy if you are of age go get a six pac of beer go find the hottest chics in your parish .............. who cares if they are married or the preachers daughter take em for a ride in the country................kick their tires see if that particular model runs as good as it looks......................bend some rules
finish your education! become at peace with your sellf and go out in to the work force and dont give any money to the church

Amen!!! You are thinking on the right path. However the best and most efficient thing you can do it pray about it. After all at the beginning of the day you don't want people to see you at all you want them to see the Jesus on the inside of you. Its Jesus who does all of the work. We are just his vessels. Don't be discouraged by a couple of bad answers on here or the guy or the people in the class. Spread that Gospel!!!!!!!

Anyone with some intelligence will not label a group based on one person's actions. However if you want to influence a person, I have only found it possible by experience.

I would ponder why he feels the need to debate. I maybe wrong but I saw many people who felt the need to debate a lack of stucture on their own part. My feelings on such subjects are built on solid blocks and I never felt the need to debate or sway someone to agree with me.

Back to the experience part, maybe if you have a solid foundation just communication on general things can rub off on this person.

Best of luck.

Face it. Your whole church is just like him....all of you go to church so other people will see you going to church...he's just after a bit more attention than the rest of you at school...it all depends on who you're trying to impress. Look at you, trying to be high and mighty holy here on yahoo answers....you want to impress us! LOL!!!
