the best age of our lives? I worried about turning 30, I was nearly sectioned at the thought of being 40 and I considered means of doing away with myself should I ever survive to 50!
But here I am and it is just the greatest! Less responsibility, more money, more time, just the same pastimes (!) played with a lot more experience and cunning! So - the question again - do we just adjust to our age or is there really an optimum for the human being at his/her peak? What is/was your best era?

I'm straight and the thought of me with another guy is disgusting to me. But I have gay friends, straight friends and I support gay marriage.

I say the government has no right to tell anybody who they can marry.

if you don't like gay marriage than don't marry a gay person.

Now my opinion on marriage in the church is it still should be between a man and a woman. My apologies but as far as a legal marriage I say gays have just as much right as straights to get married.

I do however also support gay adopting kids I think they make just as good parents as we do.

I do support them going to church as well and being active in society.

Without gays who will design our clothes LOL

What do you guys think

What do you believe Islam has to say about all human beings based on the following? Is it surprising to you? Had you heard anything good about Islam at all before?

"We have already seen that every man, whether he belongs to this country or that, whether he is a believer or unbeliever, whether he lives in a forest or in a desert, has certain basic human rights simply because he is a human being. We have seen, too, that it is the duty of every Muslim to recognize these rights."

Its kinda bothering me that because im being acused of showing pride. Is it wrong to give thanks to God for using you? Without God i can't do anything except through him, i can't do anything of myself but i can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. What did Paul say "I thank God that i speak in tongues more than you all" (1 Cor 14: 18). Was he boasting or was he giving thanks to God? Sounds like he was giving thanks so if im in the wrong for thanking God that others see my light shine, then paul is wrong as well but we all know that he isn't. People have told me that my light shines and it made me happy that God is using me to bless others in that manner.

Bisexuals definitely able to be in monnogamous relationship. But in such cases, e.g : if a bisexual women is with a female, will she be facing the urge of intimacy with men occassionally? And who would they handle these situations?

Since Bi-emotional and Bi-Sexual are inter-related.

Would it be difficult for bisexuals to stay faithful? To stay sexually faithful for their partners? Will they have the desire for the other sex party when they are engaged with the other?

* Disclaimer: I am a lesbian myself, I just went for a Bi-Focal Forum Talk during our pride season month, am very interested in discussing about this controversal issues. I am not here to create any displease disagreement. Interested parties feel free to comment. :)

Lets say that you had a near death experience & in this you discover that the religion you hold near & dear to your heart turns out to be a lie. What would you do and why?
This is a serious question. I'd like to hear your deepest thought on this, not a bunch of bull, just to get 2 points.

i have heard so many different stories/biographies about jesus's life. we all know how he was born and what he did, at least according to the bible, but recently my auntie, how is like a knowledge freak, told me that she watched a documentary which suggested that jesus has some descendant of king david who was born into a rich family and worked as a politian like figure preaching good morals and so on. but it states that his followers exageratted his life story so his legacy would live on untill the end of the human race.

my knowledge of religion, in general, is quite limited so could someone please try and clear this matter up? as it is really bothering me, i dont know why but it is

I have been told many times that I misunderstand the purpose of prayer. The people I've talked to and the things I've read have not really explained the purpose of prayer in a way I found to be clear. But if their is anything that I believe with 100% certainity it is that there is a reason for every action. People don't things just to do them.

So, if you pray, could you please tell me, in clear and direct language, why you pray?

I have always heard leaving the toilet lid(where you sit) on is the correct way, but people sometimes tell me, that closing it or lifting it, leaving it completely bare is the correct way. Well what is it?

Yes the question needs clarification. Those who tote their bibles to church every sunday probably believe in god. But... how about those at the top of the churches or the PTL club (praise the lord). How about Jim and Tammy fay Baker? How about all the priests to molest children? How about higher up religious officials who drive exotic sports cars and have big bucks saved up for their retirement.

a total stranger told me that she said: I feel that you are very close to God, and that you pray a lot.

It freaked me out, as I do not know of my exterior or presence as being that way. Yes, I do pray, but doesn't everyone.

You simply cannot debate anything with christians. Every time you start proving them wrong they will say, "oh we are not like those christians they do not follow god as we do".... They expect to win arguements with the F word... faith which by the way is never proveable in a court of law. If christians were in any other context than following god they would be inpatients at mental institutions

"because my religion says it is wrong"

Well other peoples marriage is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
Your little book has no merit in dictating other peoples lives, especially in our congress.

What if gay people claim that according to their beliefs, god *does* allow them to marry? Then you can't really tell them no because you are descriminating against someones religious belief. And that is besides the point.

I am of the Christian belief, ie King James, NIV, etc.
I feel that so much is lost in translation that I would like a bible, preferably that contains the Apocrypha, that doesn't flounder when it comes to the translations. If the word means that they have to write out a sentence, so be it, I just don't like it squished into one American word. And yes, I have considered learning Hebrew and Greek, but who has the time to do that? Concordance's just scratch the surface, I want the BIG BOOK with an overkill on correct translation. help please.
