a total stranger told me that she said: I feel that you are very close to God, and that you pray a lot.

It freaked me out, as I do not know of my exterior or presence as being that way. Yes, I do pray, but doesn't everyone.

Folks, she told me she believed in God, and started talking about him.

Well... some people have an interesting sense of discernment. Don't be afraid, just take it in.....

Its generally not related to your exterior presence, but more to the discerning abilities of some people.

There is no simple way to explain WHY the lady said that to you....

But just take it for what it's worth....

Not everyone prays, either.. It varies between cultures, religions and also individual preference.

Keep praying, and maybe God will tell you why that lady approached you.. :-)

She might have the sight. You see, some people get different gifts from God. And some people have this sight of spiritual discernment. She was in my estimation telling you that you were chosen by God to be a child of His. You might know it, you might not. I didn't for a time, and resisted it for a time.

Then, instead of killing myself I let Him have a chance at me.

You might want to before you get that low. He has a way of making people regret their apathy towards Him. And you know what? He does it because He loves you. It's hard to see until you start trusting Him. That's what He wants, your trust. Peace with Him is gained through Jesus. It's the way He set it up.

And I just told you the freaking truth.

It's a scam mechanism. If you go up to a bunch of people and say, "Your favorite color is pink.", you'll be right some of the time. It's a conversation starter that creates a false sense of intimacy. I don't want to accuse the person of a scam. It may have been an ice breaker only, but it meant nothing unless you give it meaning.

Also, many people do not pray.

If one prays constantly, it's probably because one is unhappy with one's reality and feels it might only be improved by outside intervention. There's another term for a person who's unhappy with their life and feels incapable of changing it: a loser (well or a child/teenager -- I'm assuming all parties involved adults)

Luckily, since they're a total stranger they actually have no idea as towards your loser-hood status, so they're probably simply projecting themselves onto you for some reason (something about you reminds them of theirself or someone close to theirself).

(To all you people down thumbing me: Maybe that sounds a little harsh, but surely it's not nice to come up to someone you don't know and proceed to tell them how much of an infant you feel they are.)

Surely you know that not everyone prays. Many right here on this board claim they never pray.

So it appears you were highly complemented. How lovely!!

When you think you feel foreign entities and forces entering or influencing your body or other peoples' bodies, it called a somatic delusion.
