Islam means Submission. Sumbission to God Almighty's will. There is none worthy of worship except Allah (One Creator God). This is a way accepted before Allah. All Prophets (PBUH) came with the message of Islam. Abraham called to worship the One God. Moses, David, Jesus Christ (PBUT) and all the Prophets that walked on this earth came with ONE Universal message. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the final Messenger who taught the same message of Abraham.
1) That is to worship God Almighty (Allah in Arabic) alone. He is our Lord, the Creator, Cherisher, Sustainer and all Merciful Lord.
2) This world is a place of preperation for the eternal world after death. One has to be a Submitter before Allah (a Muslim) to be successful and saved before Him. Paradise is for those who obeyed and Hell is for the wrong doers. Keeping an Arabic name will not make a person a Muslim. He must have certain Qualities, beliefs, actions to be acceptable before Allah.

Islam is a monotheistic religion and means submission to God.
People follow Islam because it's a moral, logical and practical religion.
Unfortunately, the image of Islam these days is down the dumps because of certain individuals who use the name of Islam to commit acts of terrorism.

Islam means "Submission of your will to the command of GOD"
Islam also means 'Peace'
Therefore, the concatenated meaning will be "PEACE ACQUIRED BY SUBMITTING YOUR WILL TO GOD"
Unlike all other religions like Christianity, Judaism etc, all have been named after a person. A Muslim is a person who submits his will to GOD.
The britishers when they came to india, they called the Muslims as "Mohammedans" which is a FALSE title.
Because NO Muslim worships Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him). Muslims believe in all the past revelations and believe that Jesus Christ was a Messenger of GOD and 100% human.
Islam calls for self-accountability of your sin. There is NO concept of SAVIOUR in Islam. ONLY your Deeds can save you from Hell.
The concept of Self-accountability is essential to sustain a healthy society.
People follow it as they have found peace in following it. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. IT IS A COMPLETE WAY OF LIFE.

Islam is the Religion only associated to The God Almighty, does not attributed or associated to any human.
Islam is The Religion of Prophet Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Jesus, and last and Final Messenger and Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings of The God Almighty on all of them).
Islam is The Religion since First Human being Created, on this earth.
Islam is not founded by any one, who ever claim Islam founded by Prophet Muhammad, know nothing about Religion and God Almighty.
Prophet Noah preached to worship one True God Almighty,
Prophet Abraham preached to worship One True God Almighty,
Prophet Moses preached to worship One True God Almighty, and submit to the will of Almighty,
