Islam is a perfect guidance for humanity. After your comments I want to add some more.
) Islam a Religion of Belief, Kindness and Piety:
Islam is universal religion giving guidance for the minutest matter of life. And its guidance covers from king to slave, from house to battle field, from individual to communal life. But it has relaxing nature to cope with every situation. The following example from Hadith explains true nature of Islamic guidance.
Narrated Abu Huraira: While we were sitting with the Prophet (peace be upon him) a man came and said, "O Allah's Apostle! I have been ruined." Allah's Apostle asked what was the matter with him. He replied "I had sexual intercourse with my wife while I was fasting." Allah's Apostle asked him, "Can you afford to manumit a slave?" He replied in the negative. Allah's Apostle asked him, "Can you fast for two successive months?" He replied in the negative. The Prophet asked him, "Can you afford to feed sixty poor persons?" He replied in the negative. The Prophet kept silent and while we were in that state, a big basket full of dates was brought to the Prophet. He asked, "Where is the questioner?" He replied, "I (am here)." The Prophet said (to him), "Take this (basket of dates) and give it in charity." The man said, "Should I give it to a person poorer than I? By Allah; there is no family between its (i.e. Medina's) two mountains who are poorer than I." The Prophet smiled till his premolar teeth became visible and then said, "Feed your family with it." - (Sahih AlBukhari Hadith 3.157)
Ideal Islamic character is hinted in the following Hadith: "Narrated Umar ibn al-Khattab : Umar went out one day to the mosque of Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) and found Mu'adh ibn Jabal sitting by the Prophet's grave, weeping. He asked what was making him weep and he replied that it was something he had heard from Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him). He had heard him say, "a little hypocrisy is polytheism, and anyone who is hostile to a friend of Allah has gone forth to fight Allah. Allah loves the upright, pious and retiring ones who are not missed when they are absent and are not given invitations or treated with honour when they are present. Their hearts are the lamps of guidance, and they come forth from every dusty and dark place." Ibn Majah and Bayhaqi, in Shu'ab al-Iman transmitted it - (Tirmidhi-1418)
All believers must thank Allah (The All-Mighty) for His blessing on them. Thank Him for providing eating and water. Think unlimited variety of food. And Water? Think how Lord preserves reservoir of water in sea from stench by salt and on mountain He collect and preserve by refrigeration (Snowing). And give to needy and poor to make the Lord happy.
Narrated Anas ibn Malik: Allah`s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "The most excellent sadaqah consists in your satisfying a hungry stomach." Bayhaqi transmitted it in Shu'ab al-Iman - (Tirmidhi 608)
God's love for His creation can be understood by the following Hadith. "Narrated AbuHurayrah: Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: There are one hundred (parts of) mercy of Allah and He has sent down out of these one part of mercy upon the jinn and human beings and the insects and it is because of this (one part) that they love one another, show kindness to one another and even the beast treats its young one with affection, and Allah has reserved ninety-nine parts of mercy with which He would treat His servants on the Day of Resurrection. (Sahih Muslim Hadith 1280)
And because of His mercy and love he sent so many messengers for our guidance for our benefit. "Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "When Allah created the Creation, He wrote in His Book--and He wrote (that) about Himself, and it is placed with Him on the Throne--'Verily My Mercy overcomes My Anger. " - (Sahih AlBukhari Hadith 9.501)
Another example for the love of Lord for His creation is Narrated by Umar bin Al Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). He told that Some Sabi (i.e. war prisoners, children and woman only) were brought before the Prophet (peace be upon him) and behold, a woman amongst them was milking her breasts to feed and whenever she found a child amongst the captives, she took it over her chest and nursed it (she had lost her child but later she found him). The Prophet said to us, "Do you think that this lady can throw her son in the fire?" We replied, "No, if she has the power not to throw it (in the fire)." The Prophet then said, "Allah is more merciful to His slaves than this lady to her son." - (Sahih AlBukhari Hdith 5653-28)
When we think deeply we find how our God hide our faults and crimes from all world and keep our dignity. Which even our parents, will not be able to tolerate. And despite our mischief and disobedience, He kept open the doors of His mercy and blessing. God has a great care for His creations, in Sura Sad verse no.75 we read, "Allah said: "O Iblees! What prevented you from prostrating yourself to the one whom I have created with My own hands? Are you too arrogant or do you think that you are one of the exalted ones?" Friends! do not try to make Him angry by hurting His beloved ones (creation).
And the gist of Islamic guidance is to show utmost obedience and thankfulness to The Lord of Heavens and service to humanity (by care, physical help and enlightenment through knowledge).

There are a lot of decent tolerant Muslims around.....
BUT... let's be perfectly clear on what Islam regards as basic human rights.
From the website given:
"The propriety of taking life in retaliation for murder or for spreading corruption can be decided only by a competent court of law."
The Good News is you get a trial.
The Bad News is that a Muslim court of law defines "spreading corruption" as more or less ANYTHING that contradicts the Koran.
Got it. Evolution, Christianity, Atheism, Polytheism, Equal Rights for Women, Charging Interest, Not praying to Allah five times per day, etc.
Now to be fair, Judaism says gays should be stoned, and it's been a long time since any practicing Jew seriously considered following through.
But it should also be clear from current events that much of Islam has yet to join this kinder, gentler modern age.
Don't believe the PC crowd; go buy a Koran (Quran). Treat yourself to the charming suggestions for the proper treatment of Christians such as Sura (9:5)
"And when the sacred months are passed, kill those who join other gods with God wherever ye shall find them; and seize them, besiege them, and lay wait for them with every kind of ambush; but if they convert, and observe prayer, and pay the obligatory alms, then let them go their way, for God is Gracious, Merciful.
Got it? When an American says 'mercy' they mean the kind and tolerant treatment of people with different beliefs.
The Muslim definition is sparing the lives of those willing to convert.

Human rights were pretty much invented in Iran by Cyrus the Great. According to Wikipedia, "some contemporary Muslim scholars have suggested that the Qur'anic figure of Dhul-Qarnayn is Cyrus the Great" (although it is contested).
Although Cyrus the Great came before Iran became Islamic, I do think that his policies had an effect on the religion.
I'm not a Muslim myself, but I have had many Muslim friends in the U.S. who were very kind. I really hope that some of the Muslim countries in the Middle East can get back to their roots and all of this violence nonsense blows over.

whilst others knock Islam for H Rights-- they supply the effect of being at what Muslims DO and not what's interior the Quran. Many Muslims desire to get off the hook with the aid of excuses like a million- not real Muslims 2- what's interior the Quran or what isn't interior the Quran. that style of protection may well be made with the aid of all the religions! BTW- that may not modern-day. that's been there for as long as i'm able to keep in mind.

I'm glad to read this. I don't know if it's an exerpt from the Koran or the words of somebody who is Muslim. I wish the Muslim wackos would take a little heed to this that you have quoted here.

Yeah, right, funny how neither the Koran nor the actions of Islamic countries or many, many of its followers support this.
You might as well stop trying to convince people Islam is any better than any other religion. ALL religion produces fanatics who violate the rights of others; faith is the problem.

No religion defends the human right as vividly as Islam.
Though Sahar has given reply in length, but I consider it to be best.
Nothing to add more.

As salaamu 'alalikym warahmatullahi wabaraktu, my sister and my friend.
Insha'Allah, this one already was aware of this and these teachings as it is one of the many reasons this one found for his conversion to Islam and faith in the One True God, Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, and for following the teachings and example of the last Prophet of Allah, Subahanna wa Ta'ala, Muhammad (peace be upon him, his fmaily and his followers).
Jazak'Allah, I thank you for spreading this message in the hopes of enlighteneing many others.
One wonders why so many Christians and non believers choose to compare the Islamic countries where Islam may not be practiced in its purest sense while ignoring the fact that the same (or much worse) could be said about every nation that claims to be "Christian"?
In a nation that is truly "Christian", there would be services set up so as to provide for and care for all of the needy, sick, imprisoned, widows, orphans, the homeless, disabled, etc. All who were in need would be cared for. Poverty would be virtually eliminated as all Christians would have sold all that they own so as to give to and provide for those without.
No Christain nation would go to war in following the teaching of the Gospels to both turn the other cheek and to follow the teachings of the one whom they call the "Prince of Peace".
This list could be greatly elongated however the obvious point is that no nation on Earth that has or does claim to be a Christian nation practices or follows the teachings of its own professed faith to the ruination and degradation of many of its citizens. For such a nation to then judge another nation of a differing faith in regards to how well it follows such is hypocritical in the extreme as well another example of how it is not following the teachings of its avowed faith (i.e., "judge not lest ye shall be judged").
In all fairness and honesty, if the attention of the western media was focused on how Christians and Christian nations have failed to practice the very things they both preach and condemn other nations for failing to do in their faith traditions, not a single Christian would be able to show his or her face in public.
Let us all practice tolerance and stop throwing stones at one another.
Let us all be honest in admitting that we all, as individuals and as communities and/or nations often fail to live as we profess we should live.
Let us all clean our own homes , wipe the mote from our own eye, practice true righteousness before we decry others and demand unrealistically that they do the same.
Let us practice peace and mutual cooperation for the benefit of all in the very sprit of love, peace and tolerance that our faiths teach us remembering that there is only One True God, whom we all worship regardless of by whatever name we address Him.
Ma'a salaam.

Well for starters it says "man" and not "people". And despite that this might not be the intention, it still faulters this crappy translation.
And this really doesn't say anything! WHAT HUMAN RIGHTS ARE AFFORDED???? ???? ????
It's pretty meaningless out of context like this.

God's truth is spiritual and greater than the rights of your sinful flesh. Seek the truth in the true word of God. God is not flesh but an eternal spirit we know him through the spirit not through our finite flesh.
