Is it twenty ten? I've been teaching myself to count and I've reached as far as I can go.

I know this isn't a religious question, but it would be if there were a lot of gods who needed to be counted... I know there's only one, but there might be more? I think it's important to be able to count, just in case.

What would Christ make of all the judgmental condemnation, all the sign seeking--all the predictions of the "end times"--all the many many denominations, all the money making that goes on in his name???

Basically, it said that if your daughter has sex before marriage, that you should sell her into slavery. How come I don't see any Christians putting this very moral piece of scripture into practice???

Assuming there is a god, of course. Every human, from the most fervent theist who lives in a small room with the door bolted and blinds drawn so that no new knowledge can get in and upset their belief system to the most coldly analytical scientist who always seeks new knowledge and takes nothing as fact unless it’s been proven beyond doubt, is capable of withholding an illogicality in their perception of reality. Omens, luck, superstitions, symbols, rituals, ceremonies, meaning in dreams, truth in old sayings, life after death…these are all illogicalities and I would say every one of us has one or several of these in the perception of reality.

So, only a god has a perfectly logical perception of reality?

Was there something in it that no one is allowed to know or what?
Another thing if you don't believe in the
walking dead, than how can you honestly believe that Christ awoke after he died and got up and was walking around?
It seems like you are a lot like

Death to Followers of Other Religions

Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed. (Exodus 22:19 NAB)

Kill Nonbelievers

They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

Kill Men, Women, and Children

"Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple." So they began by killing the seventy leaders. "Defile the Temple!" the LORD commanded. "Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!" So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." (Ezekiel 9:5-7 NLT)

I'm so bummed "Big Love" is over for the season! Great Finale!

I just find it interesting to see an inside view of how positive polygamy can be instead of what we hear, such as, older men with underage wives.

I know that Mormons don't practice Polygamy but there are a few that do...I just want your take on it. Are there any Mormons who have watched it? And if so, do you like it? why or why not?

I'm discussing a Drama Series and would like feedback and opinions on that and only that.

Are there three Spirits in a Christian's heart? Father, Jesus, and the Spirit all dwell within a Christian (John 14:17, 23; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 3:14-17). Yet there is one Spirit (I Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 4:4).

Islam itself says to leave apostates alone, so why does the "shariah" in many "islamic" countries state otherwise? Killing people who leave Islam is not allowed. And the Top Cleric of Muslims has stated the same. What is your opinion of this?

"One of Egypt's most senior Muslim clerics has raised controversy by saying there is no worldly retribution for Muslims who abandon their religion, prompting an outcry from conservatives insisting Islamic law requires such apostates be killed.

The editorial in The Washington Post came from Egypt's Grand Mufti, Ali Gomaa, who is the highest official authority for issuing fatwas, or religious edicts.

"The essential question before us is can a person who is Muslim choose a religion other than Islam? The answer is yes, they can, because the Quran says, 'Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion,'" he wrote, citing from Islam's holy book."

Because honestly, I just don't understand it when people say "God created Adam & Eve perfect" and then in the very same breath insist that "Adam & Eve chose to sin and cause the fall of man".

What kind of PERFECT creation sins like that? What is meant by "perfect" if that definition doesn't include the ability to follow simple instructions despite suggestions to the contrary?

If you are a Muslim and you do this, shame on you, and you are sinning majorly. What do you think of what this has to say?

"Noble Verses 4:34-36 "(34). Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).

The Arabic word used in Noble Verse 4:34 above is "idribuhunna", which is derived from "daraba" which means "beat". The issue with all of the Arabic words that are derived from the word "daraba" is that they don't necessarily mean "hit".
