how do you pronounce the "dinho" in ronaldinho or "amante"??
Is "nte" pronounced different then in Spanish??And how do you say the name joao is this joel in Portuguese....

dinho is like Jeenyo in english, nte is like chee in english.
nte = chee like I said, so gente is pronounced jenchee unlike the spanish hentay.
joao is zho-wow (zh like the j in janeiro or zh in brezhnev) and means john.

"Dinho" would be something equivalente (in English sound) like "Jee- nhow"... the nh in "nho" is like you touch the back part of your tongue on the top of your mouth on the back. Would be something close to the word "yummy" ("yu"). About the word "amante" (lover), ah - mahn - tchee (stress the "mahn" sylable). I think "nte" in amante is very similar in Spanish (pronunciation), except the last two letters would be pronounced "tay" instead of "tchee". Joao in English would be John. Joel is Joel, the same.

amante = like spanish
João is pronounced like the english words noun, sound, etc. So, it is something like: joo-oun.
