I was playing my favorite video game. It's a combat game. Basically all we do is go around killing each other for 30 minutes. Anyways, I was using the screen name "FoxholeAtheist." The person hosting the server told me I had to change my name.

"What's wrong with my name?" I asked. "Is being an atheist vulgar?"

"Yes." Was his answer. And I promptly got kicked out of the game.

New people just moved into the house next door. They are black. I've seen them. All the vehicles have the big chrome wheels, they seem to prefer the "sagging" look and doo-rags and they seem to have that scowl you sometimes see black people wear (not all, but too many still). But I like to be a good neighbor. If I go just on what I've seen so far, they will not appreciate me coming over to introduce myself. Of course, I know it's stereotyping, but hey...they fit the stereotypes to a T. Anyway, should I say hello or should I just keep my distance and wait for them to introduce themselves? Will they introduce themselves? I only ask because none of the other black families around here has ever made the first move. I always have been the one. My out of town visitors felt a little intimidated when they got out of the car because the new neighbors were staring but didn't speak, wave or smile at all. I'm told they all had the 50-cent look, which didn't help. What to do?

It is so hard to do right even though I do all the right things. You do not have to tell me to pray, attend church, or read scriptures. These are basic Christian virtues. Allow your wisdom to show and say something noteworthy.

When you shop at a store, no matter what kind, what do you expect from the cashier? What does a cashier do or don't do that angers you? Why? And do you complain? To those of you that do or have complained, do you do so to cause the cashier to lose their job?

I think so. I'm not gay, but they (our conservative government) ban everything gay. Gay marriage, gay civil unions, gay adoptions, etc is all outlawed. Why do people love taking priveledges away from gay people? I really doubt it's a religious thing, but if it is, please explain your reasoning. I'm pretty sure people just think gays are disgusting, right?

HYPOTHETICALLY speaking, of course.

And then, what if He told you to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with your own family, friends, and neighbors?

Would you almost "hate" this?
What do you think they would say?
How would you feel being suddenly categorized as a Christian, with all the others who claim to be Christians?

-

Please make an effort to answer a hypothetical question without merely dismissing it - and claiming it as impossible...
...or talking about your "testimony" regarding how this has not happened to you yet...
...or talking about pink unicorns, Santa, or the flying spaghetti monster...
...or demanding proof...

It is simply a hypothetical question...

===============The Deal====================

If you agree to hand over your soul to me, I will
offer you anything your heart desires. I can reveal to
you pleasures and riches of which no human has ever
dreamed. Forgiveness is the key and what
makes me happiest is when people ask for my
forgivenss. You will never die in my kingdom, but instead
you will serve me eternally. Of course, I welcome
rebellious sinners of all type, child molesters, murderers,
rapists, but I am especially fond of those souls who
are pure of heart. Worship me. Honor me and
I promise to protect you from those who would mislead
you. Some say I am a deceiver, never truly revealing
myself, althoughI have had ample opportunity.

My agreement is simple and without fine print. You offer
to me your soul, without reservation, and I will make good
on all terms I have outlined above. Is this a deal?

Who is speaking here,

God or the Devil

In England, we like to watch shows on the tele about Americans behaving badly. America's Dumbest Criminals, and many shows about obesity are favoured here. With all the cops episodes that I've seen with trailer people in it, I'd have to say that Texas tops the list, followed by Arkansas (but Arkansas isn't that bad because that was Bill Clinton's state). Which state in America has the most dirtbags in it?

I asked five atheists I know if they knew the capital of Bulgaria. None of them did.

I then asked five Christians I know if they knew the capital of Bulgaria. Every single one of them replied, "Sofia," which is correct.

Is this a sign atheists are more ignorant than Christians?
