According to scientific principle, energy can not be created or destroyed, only redistributed.

For example if you were to push a toy car along a track, you would not be creating the energy needed to push the car but rather applying the potential energy stored in your arm muscles and turning that into the kinetic energy used to move the car, and as such redistributing the stored energy.

(A very dumbed down explanation)

So with this in mind lets look at the big bang and the creation of the universe.

Energy can not be created, so there must have already been energy present prior to the big bang, or the energy that caused the big bang would not have been available and there would be no big bang and no universe and no planets or stars etc.

So could it be said that this energy that caused the big bang is god. Since it is believed by many that god has always existed and that he created the universe and everything and that he existed before the universe was created (coinciding with scientific principle, which states no energy can be created ((as above)) is this energy god, and, If you believe that this energy is god, then does that mean that god now does not exist as this energy has been redistributed across the universe that was created by the big bang

That was 14 centuries ago people, and today, if you look at your own society, you see priests molesting young children, i dont see anyone raise any questions about that....

Do you lay all your cards out on the table from the get-go or wait until it comes up in conversation? Do you ever bring up the topic of religion after meeting someone new or do you wait for them to approach the subject first?

This is in real life, of course. Obviously not in R&S.

And before any of you say, "I'm not afraid of homosexuals," realize that the root -phobia, although derived from the Greek word for fear, also carries the meaning of "hating" or "incompatible with," such as hydrophobic molecules which are insoluble in water. So we are not talking fear here, we are talking hatred and/or loathing.

Hi everybody,
I need an advice. I met a guy and we went out together for about two months. Everything was fine between us, and he seemed really into it. Then he suddenly disappeared. His mobile phone is permantly turned off. I'm seriously worried that something bad may have happened to him. I know his name and surname and the town where he leaves. How can I find him? I know it can sound a stupid question, but I'm getting more and more worried and I don't know what to do. I don't think anybody of his relatives knows about me, so even if something happened they couldn't contact me.
I know that it's extreme, but Is there any newspapers or a web sites where I can check the names of the departed?
Thank you very much to all of you who will answer seriously..

Hi, I'm British and i'm seeing someone from the Middle East. His friends are also from his country. And when ever they ring, he just speaks Arabic to them. He's never ever even said once "Do you mind, i'm just going to speak Arabic to my friend?" or anything at all like that. He just speaks in his own language as if it's nothing. Him and his friends can speak perfect English by the way. I think it's so rude.... I speak fluent Swedish, I have Swedish friends over here, and I talk to them in their language a lot as their English isn't too good, and i'm helping them out with it by explaining certain things, ect... but i've told them if they ring me and I'm with my b/f, can they speak English to me. My family are from Spain and I always ask them to speak English to me if they ring as well, who ever i'm with.... So, if I can do that, why can't he? I haven't confronted him about this yet, but I think is he that stupid to not even consider that he's been rude..? Am I over reacting to this?

Why?

A friend of mine recently admitted that he chose not to participate in his high school graduation exercise, no cap or gown, but instead he picked up his diploma at school. I told him if I did that, my family would hit the roof and force me to go.

What it is young guys are supposed to be jealous of with Prince William? This isn't a rant I genuinely wanna know

Is it the fact he looks like a horse, is going bald, has a huge nose, horrible teeth and is aging at the rate of knots?

Is that what guys are supposed to be jealous of?

Let's be honest, girls only like him for his status, if he walked past them in the street they probably wouldn't look twice at him

it isn't like Beckham or Depp, who are genuinely handsome this guy is way overrated by fame

I still wanna know why me or any other guy should be jealous of a guy who looks like a horse?

It baffles me completely

Fake christians don't -really- want to be treated the way they treat others, do they?

They think that's as much hooey as Jesus saying "Be ye perfect, even as your father who is in heaven is perfect", don't they?

have you actually known any long time pagans? i'm not talking about the 14 yr old girls who want to make a boy love them, i mean the ones who have been pagan for 20, or 30 or more years? i agree there are some people who are a little "out there", but usually they're very young and/or very new to their path.
