Do hotels actually pay for Bibles themselves, or does a religious group provide them?

I also found the book of Mormon in some hotel rooms.

I don't think hotels pay for the Bibles. The "Gideon's" are usually the ones that place these Bibles in hotels, hospitals, etc.

Yes the Gideons put Bibles in Hotels but No they aren't free. The Gideon Ministry is supported by individual donations. People like ME support their ministry so they can provide Bibles at no cost to Hotels and such. they specifically target hotels because of lonely travelers. they are more likely to pay for someone's company or yeah...suicide.

If you don't want to read it then don't but please...don't trow it away. someone somewhere paid for it!! and someone somewhere needs it!!

The Gideons supply them to the hotels. They raise money for them and donate them to the hotels.

The Gideons provide them. We had a Gideon speaker at our church not too long ago. They have a wonderful and noteworthy mission. I wish ALL people loved God the way they do.
