"Any woman who prays with her head unveiled dishonors her head. It is the same as if her head were shaven, for if a woman will not veil herself then she should cut off her hair. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven , let her wear a veil. (1 Corenthians 11 :5).

Whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
(MATT 5:28-29).

TIT002:005 - To be discreet, chaste, keepers at HOME, good, OBEDIENT to their HUSBANDS...

1PE 3:001 - Likewise, ye wives, be in SUBJECTION to your own HUSBANDS. -------

Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in SUBMISSION, as the Law says. -- 1 Corinthians 14:34

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach [didaskein], nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (1 Timothy 2:11-12)

Ecclesiastes 7:26 KJV: And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her but she will catch whoever continues to sin. (GOD'S WORD®)

How come they are called the "10 commandments" when there are 13 of them? Why not the 13 commandments? For those who don't believe me here are the 13 commandments (they can be found in both Exodus and Deuteronomy):

1. I am God (by the way, what if somebody else wrote this?)
2. Thou shalt have no other gods.
3. Thou shalt not make a false idol.
4. Thou shalt not worship the false idol (that you shouldn't have made in the first place)
5. Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain.
6. Remember (Exodus)/protect (Deuteronomy) the Sabbath (can I choose which one?)
7. Honor thy mother and father.
Thou shalt not...
8. ...murder
9 ...commit adultery.
10. ...steal
11. ...bear false witness
12. covet thy neighbor's wife
13. covet thy neighbor's house

Why are they called the 10 commandments when there's more than 10? Is it because 10 is a round number?

I know that different sects group them differently, but why group them like that instead of just having 13?

I met a holy rolling Christian woman the other day, and I overheard some of her conversation with the other Christian lasy she was with. They were talking about a kid that was spazzing out in the store, and was obviously mentally handicapped. I overheard them saying that Autism is just a word that people use to cover up the real truth, that these kids are possessed by the devil.

Do Christians largely believe this? That Autistic kids are possessed by Satan?

Regarding atheism and its adherent's widely held beliefs. Not every atheist will meet every one of these but most do.

1. Atheism is not a religion, it is a philosophy in which its adherents hold that no god exists or has ever existed.

2. The scientific theory of Evolution states that the biological nature of complex life has changed over time in response to external stimuli. This is NOT the same as (and is fundamentally unrelated to) the scientific theory of the Big Bang that states that the universe began from a singularity billions of years ago from which all elementary units of matter and energy came.

3. Many atheists arrive at the conclusion to not believe in any god through a logical process of thought regarding religious belief. Many are well educated on at least one main religion and its teachings, if not more.

4. Not all atheists are irreligious. Some may adhere to beliefs that are characterized as "religious" but do not believe in a personal god, such as Buddhists.

People frequently talk about certain groups being really "out there" ("wacky" or "strange" might be synonyms) in their beliefs. How do define an "out there" belief? What kinds of beliefs do you consider being "out there" and what makes them different from "normal" beliefs?

Please don't respond with "I accept all religions. I don't consider any belief to be wacky." If that is the case, the question really doesn't apply to you. Likewise, I don't need ten atheists telling me that all religious beliefs are wacky.

I'm not trying to show anyone that they are intolerant or anything like that. The fact is most people categorize beliefs in some way (even if we don't think it PC to do so), and I'm interested in how people draw the line. As an example, I was teaching a class in which students expressed that it was bizarre for anyone to think that God could be in a spaceship, yet they generally accepted God in a burning bush as quite normal (even if they didn't believe in it).

There is probably no other dogma of the Catholic religion which is so frequently misunderstood, and which occasions so much opposition on the part of the non-Catholic friends, as that which proclaims the infallible teaching authority of the Church as centered in the person of her supreme head, the pope, the ruler of Christ's Church on earth. Let me invite my non-Catholic readers to consider this question in a calm, friendly manner.

Do you despair when you read all the mean-spirited attacks on our faith in this forum? Well, don't. Remember what our Lord said: "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me" (Matthew 5:11). Each atack is a blessing for us. And also remember: The story of the world is already written, and in the end, WE WIN! Those who choose evil will reap what they sew. Stay strong in your faith in Christ the Lord.

If God is all perfect,God is all loving,God is all knowing,God is everything.
What is the point for God who is all perfect to create a being who is imperfect then punish them,or yet,if God is all knowing why go through creating something imperfect when He knows the outcome, what for?Is She not all loving?
This contradicts that God is perfect, and that God is all loving and that God is all knowing.
If God is everything,God is life, which is the energy that created our soul, who shall She punish,Herself?Who shall He command Himself?

Listen to your feelings, listen to your experiences, listen to the highest thought of yourself, whenever these differ from what you have been taught by your teachers or read in Books, forget the words, words are least purveyor of truth.

We have free will, total choice,to live life as you see fit.All paths lead to the same home, none is better than another, only less ardouse. So live your lives according to your own truth about yourself.Love is all there is.Not Sin.
