I think those who hold the belief in the "Inerrancy and Infallibility of the Bible" doctrine have the difficult task to try and do apologetic gymnastics to try to make things harmonize.

Maybe it wasn't meant to be in 100% harmony. Maybe you just have two christians with different points of view eh?

James liked works and Paul liked faith. It's not like there never were any conflicting view points.

Heck, Jesus and his crew had conflicting view points from time to time. Paul even criticized Peter at one point.

So is far fetched to believe that maybe the writers of the new testament simply had a different point of view?

Is it necessary that they have to agree with each other? Aren't we able to gain wisdom from different points of view?

First of all I'm a guy but the funny thing is I don't know how to act like a guy... at least not that much. I've been observing people to see what they do so that maybe I can follow their footsteps and act like them. Ofcourse that didin't work out too well. I observe them, in fact I even took some notes but it didn't do any good. That's why I need some tips on what should I do and/or say in order for me to be more masculine? What should I avoid saying and/or doing? Thanks

If Baptism produces faith, it stands to reason that one can be baptized before they believe.

1 Peter 3:21 - …and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also – not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, ...

NIV notes on 1 Peter 3:21 – Baptism is a means of salvation, a means through which the Holy Spirit produces faith as a gift of God because of God’s grace.

grateful for today?

I am grateful to have life, to be in health, to be in recovery from cancer, to have my faculties about me, and to be loved.
I am grateful for so many things, even for the most unlikely sometimes bad things turn into blessings.
Thank you for answering my question.

Matthew 28:19 – Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Does this include or not include infants?

Acts 16:33 – At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized.

Immediately and all his family?? Did they do it in church so everyone could see? Did his family include children? Although they preached to the whole household, would babies have been able to speak for themselves?

I was once informed that it sets a bad example and a scandal to the faithful to be involved in SCA; Renaissance Faires, etc. What are your thoughts on this?

God is One, the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need. he begets not, nor was He begotten (he has no sons or daughters, nor was he born). And there is none co-equal or comparable to Him. Quran: 112
Jesus was the Prophet of God and not the son of God. Jesus, like Prophet Abraham, and Muhammed is also a prophet who had to convey the message of God. So saying Jesus was God is indirectly saying that Maryam is his wife which is nonsense. And on Judgement Day Prophet Jesus will speak against those who say that Jesus is the son of God, or even God Himself. The biggest sin anyone can commit is by associating God with His creation, and that includes saying God has a son. GLORY TO HIM, God of the heavens and the earth, no son does he need.Another thing to think about. If Jesus is God's son then how could God leave him, his own son, to be torchered in the cross. Jesus did not die for our sins, we are responsible for our own. All this info is found in the holy Quran. God's true words.

I've experienced life enough to realize that "Evil," is complex. Rarely are good and evil in their absolute true forms, it's mostly lukewarm, and mixed bag wherever you go and the people you meet. The evil is mostly complex, and subtle and light, meaning, jealousy, judgements, competition, materialism, not caring about the next guy, apathy, greed, those types of evil, rather than gung-ho machine gun, I want to kill humanity types.

Though nowadays, we're getting many road-rage, frustrated, drug using/selling, shady types as well.

Question is, how do NORMAL/GOOD people, who have good intentions and just want to go day by day doing normal regular things like working, shopping, and enjoying life, deal with all the F8cked up people allllll around us? You can't tell simply by looking at them but MANY out there are frustrated, conniving, shady, living paycheck to paycheck, nasty, rude, opportunists, MANY types of so called "evil?"

You're either part of the problem or not.

I'm talking metaphysically here, thoughts/beliefs creating reality etc.

If you affirm a particular belief (ie: I AM SUCCESSFUL) then that belief becomes your reality, with regular repetition.

But what would happen if you affirmed an actual concept (ie:SUCCESS, HAPPINESS, HEALTH, GLORIOUS LIFE) and repeated that over and over in your mind.

Would that also have the same effect?

I read that it can sometimes be better to change your thoughts this way, because with beliefs, you sometimes get doubts cropping up, but you don't get that if you are merely affirming a concept.
