I have heard several sensible preachers. I wonder about those people that attempt to answer questions by stating that one is an oxymoron to be a preacher or believe in God. They must have a sad life--they differently have no hope in eternity

This depends upon your preference and what you define as "sensible". For me, I Iike TEACHERS of the bible and not preachers. There is a difference. Teachers help to interpret the scripture. Preachers seek to save souls.
My favorite teacher is a minister in Houston Texas named Joel Osteen. He does a very good job of explaining the text in plain terms without judgement.
My second favorite is a televangelist by the name of Joyce Meyer - she has a no nonsense approach to the scripture and tells it like it is- without glamorizing it.
Both of these have large followings. I believe that is because of their sincere approach to ministry.
But do not take my word alone. Visit the bookstore and examine the Spiritual section. There are lots of great ministers that no one has heard of who are discerning the Word.

Not only one single man or woman, but a whole order of priests and brothers who go by the name Society of the Divine Word. They have headquarters including a college in Epworth, Iowa, not far west of Dubuque. They were founded in the days of the dictator Bismark of Germany, when they had to flee anti-Catholic persecution to found the order in Steyl, in the Netherlands.
