This non-suicide bomber can then have coffee at base, after sending women, children, old people, pets and innocent men to their deaths or in living agony for the rest of their lives. We all know he did not mean to kill all those innocent persons who were living in apartments in which some terrorists live too. We all know that the innocent that are killed are of course called collateral damage, and all civilized people know that is acceptable in a modern war.

And yes, such non-suicide bombers may be given medals after they are finished with their killings of the "terrorists", and most of their victims who happened to be where the non-suicide bomber thought the terrorists existed!!

I think the police should handcuff a lot of non-criminals in crime infested neighborhoods and surely they will catch a few criminals too in each raid. After a day or two in jail and after checking them out, the non-criminals may be let off as collateral victims, no damage done.

What say you?

ok I know my religion and like why do other people try to rub theres off on you and tell you your wrong? I grew up Luthran and went to church growing up and my step grandparents are Jehovah witness and like they will question my faith and it seems like they are trying to make me believe what they believe. How can i tell them to stop and i believe what i believe with out being rude and stop making them question my beliefs? Do you think it's wrong people preaching and trying to rub their religion on you?

I am pagan and have been for a long time. I had always believed that Christians took beliefs from the Pagan religions and added it to their own. However, after much research, I have learned that this is not true. The reason is because all of the myths that are similar to Christianity are not really older than Christianity. These myths, Dyonisus for example, were not told or written until after the 1st Century. Many respectable Biblical Scholars believe this. I was wondering if anyone had any input on the subject. Does anyone know of any sources that might possibly prove that Christians took at least something from us?

To the Christians.....
I am not disrespecting your religion. You must understand that I am just very curious about this and would like answers based on actual facts.

Some interesting qutoes on "traditional" marriage.

"By marriage, the husband and wife are one person in law, that is, the very being or legal existence of the woman is suspended during the marriage, or at least incorporated and consolidated into that of her husband, under whose wing, protection and cover, she performs everything." ~ William Blackstone, " Commentaries on the Laws of England", 1765

"In the nineteenth century [1891!], when a judge ruled that a husband could not imprison and rape his wife the London Times bemoaned, `One fine morning last month, marriage in England was suddenly abolished.' The phrase rule of thumb descends from English common law that said a man could legally beat his wife with a switch `no thicker than his thumb.'" ~ Naomi Wolf, "Radical Heterosexuality"

Humans on earth have always had the Holy Spirit upon and within us. This is easily shown in many Old Testament and New Testament passages. So WHO is "He the Spirit of Truth" sent by God the Father and God the Son Jesus Christ down upon us all as the NEW Teacher ? (See John ch 16)

Please answer this only if you are a Trinity believing Christian and preferably a Spirit of Truth-led Theologian or Evangelist.

God became Man through His Son Jesus Christ, so that in the end, we may participate as co-heirs with Christ in his divine inheritance, ultimately becoming children of God, co-heirs with Christ, and as gods ourselves. Notice the "g" and not a "G". Jesus Christ enabled us to share in His divinity. Can you also deny that Humanity, as created in the image and likeness of God the Creator, in effect are ultimately creators ouselves as well? Look at art, music, science, and everything that is beautiful created by man in this world.

Both St. Ignatius and St. Thomas Aquinas said this, and as a Catholic turned Gnostic Christian, I believe and know this to be true. This is a basic tenet of Catholic and Orthodox Christianity, which remember, was the original Christianity before the Reformation and Protestantism, which are later offshoot sects. Catholic and Orthodox Christians also make up 2 billion people around the world, and half the planet can't be wrong.

I've been told of "black churches," the congregations of which are primarily African-American people.

Say you moved to a small town, alone (no spouse, or anyone with you), where you knew absolutely no one. The town has 2 churches, one a "black church," and one a white "church."

If you are white, please assume that the "black church," is better in terms of quality; nicer people, better sermons, etc....

In this scenario, society and the town expect you to attend the church that pertains to your race, but you feel the oppositte church would be a better place.

If you are white, would you go to the "black church" because it's better in terms of quality, or would you stick to the church of your race?

"Everybody hates death, fears death, but only those, the believers who know the life after death and the reward after death, would be the ones who will be seeking death."

"The mother of a Palestinian suicide bomber who killed two Israeli soldiers says she prayed her son would be "killed in action, so he could be rewarded with the [72] virgins in heaven… The fact that my son killed Jews makes me happy," said the mother of Mahmud Alabad. She said when her son "left for his operation, his face was radiant as if he were meeting the girls of heaven right then and there. I wished him luck and that he enter heaven and marry the girls as soon as possible."

I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge, about to jump. I ran over and said: "Stop. Don't do it."

"Why shouldn't I?" he asked.

"Well, there's so much to live for!"

"Like what?"

"Are you religious?"

He said: "Yes."

I said: "Me too. Are you Christian or Buddhist?"

"Christian."

"Me too. Are you Catholic or Protestant?"

"Protestant."

"Me too. Are you Episcopalian or Baptist?"

"Baptist."

"Wow. Me too. Are you Baptist Church of God or Baptist Church of the Lord?"

"Baptist Church of God."

"Me too. Are you original Baptist Church of God, or are you Reformed Baptist Church of God?"

"Reformed Baptist Church of God."

"Me too. Are you Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1879, or Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1915?"

He said: "Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1915."

I said: "Die, heretic scum," and pushed him off.

The sunday before 4th of July I was sitting in church and my pastor, whom I respect very much, talked about America today compare to "the good 'ol days", what really got my attention was when he said " What happened to the good Christian values this country was built on?". This bothered me all day that day. How is it that this country was brought up on Christinanvalues? If you look through any history book this country was built on lies and hate. These poeple came here and felt priviaged to land that didn't belong to them and lets not get about the wonderful instition of slavery. What kind of values are those?
