The sunday before 4th of July I was sitting in church and my pastor, whom I respect very much, talked about America today compare to "the good 'ol days", what really got my attention was when he said " What happened to the good Christian values this country was built on?". This bothered me all day that day. How is it that this country was brought up on Christinanvalues? If you look through any history book this country was built on lies and hate. These poeple came here and felt priviaged to land that didn't belong to them and lets not get about the wonderful instition of slavery. What kind of values are those?

I'm a Canadian and I even know that your country was established on Christianity. "In God we trust...! What does that mean to you? On your money, "In God we trust..." How can you say that America wasn't established on Christian beliefs and morals? Sometimes you gotta fight for what you believe in. History proves that. If it wasn't for the true blue honest to goodness 'Christian', our countries would have fallen into enemy hands many years ago. Slavery was something that was taught and passed down through each generation. It's been going on since the beginning of time. Since education, we have defeated the old teachings that owning another human being just isn't right. It's education that changes thinking. It takes the parents of our youth to teach their children to look past the past. What was is no longer unacceptable. What will be, is totally in our hands.

The Pilgrims came to this country to escape the English religious experience. To them it was too popish (after the Anglicans which separated from the Catholics during Henry VIII's time). It was still too Catholic for these "puritans to stomach".
This country was built not on Christian values, but on Masonic values. That is totally another creature.

Because America WAS founded on Christian values. We have failed God. I hope he will forgive this nation and continue to bless it. But we must get back to those values before He will do it. A thousand thumbs down will not change this truth. So, bring 'em on.

...so, you believe the "secular" history books...umm ? Oh My!

The whole "Christian" thing is a mistelling of history. Most of our founding fathers were Deists, who worship God but don't believe that Jesus was divine or the Son of God.
That's not Christianity.

I always laugh when they say this. Stealing people's land and to kill nearly all of them is not Christian.
