Humans on earth have always had the Holy Spirit upon and within us. This is easily shown in many Old Testament and New Testament passages. So WHO is "He the Spirit of Truth" sent by God the Father and God the Son Jesus Christ down upon us all as the NEW Teacher ? (See John ch 16)

Please answer this only if you are a Trinity believing Christian and preferably a Spirit of Truth-led Theologian or Evangelist.

tebone0315 has answered below the Truth that "He the Spirit of Truth" (John 16:7-16) is Jesus Christ. Yes ! Thank you !

I now ask all for more clarity on these three Trinity Spirits here: The Holy Spirit is of the 3rd Person. And now we know that He the Spirit of Truth is the 2nd Person here. Now I ask Who and where is the Spirit of the 1st Person -- the Father here ? All Spirits of the Trinity have to be here, directly or indirectly.

The Comforter is the spirit of Jesus Christ. Jesus said He would never leave us.

Hebrews 13: 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Actually this is a GOOD question because it gives us Christians a chance to put a magnifying glass on the Holy Spirit aka The Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit as you say did played a very active roll in the Old Testament. Keep in mind God has been bringing revelation to his people in LAYERS. Even Jesus being the ACTUAL Son of God was a REVELATION from God, that's what Jesus told Peter. Jesus simply revealed to us other ASPECTS of The Holy Spirit that we did not know before. One of the things I personally appreciate is, The Holy Spirit comes to STAY with you forever and transforms you from the inside out that's why you are BORN-AGAIN. In the Old Testament the Holy Spirit would only empower people for certain tasks and then leave them until the next task.

The spirit of truth is just another name for the Holy Spirit.

The Trinity consists of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

What is the Bible verse from John 16 that talks about the spirit of truth as the new teacher??

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but you will never get the right answer to this question by asking trinity believing christians. Jesus clearly and rightfully refuted the trinity myth in The Apocryphon of John. You don't accept this text as being inspired by The Holy Spirit? Why not? If you accept the book of revelations then you should accept this text as well unless you are not using the same criteria to judge them by. Everyone who believes the god of the o.t. is related to Jesus is ignorant of the truth and has no idea who The Holy Spirit is.

I am not a Theologian or an Evangelist, but I have been a seeker/student for 25 years. To me they are the same, The Holy Spirit & The Speaker of Truith. I think the term "Spirit filled" is greatly misunderstood. There are many times I hear the Spirit, he guides me in the path to union with the Father. Sad to say there are many times I also hear the author of lies, I call him the little p***k on the left, the voice for the Spirit comes from the right. My only claim to fame is not that I listen 100% of the time, but that I can discern the difference. I have no proof to offer on my belief, only my experience.

The Spirit of Truth, The Holy Spirit, and The Comforter are all one in the SAME. Those are simply devine adjectives to descibe the very Spirit and essence of God, who is the 3rd person of the Trinity

Not to be confused with the God the Father, and God the Son.

I believe that it is the same Holy Spirit - the Ruah Elohim of the Old Testament . Ruah is translated 180 times as spirit(s), 92 times as wind(s) and 32 times as breath(s).

Just as it was translated as "pneuma" in the Greek Septuagint.

Note how Jesus (in the same manner as God "breathed" life into Adam's nostrils) - breathes on His Apostles...and what does Jesus say??

"Receive ye the Holy Ghost..."

John 20:22 - the Lord "breathes" on the apostles, and then gives them the power to forgive and retain sins. The only other moment in Scripture where God breathes on man is in Gen. 2:7, when the Lord "breathes" divine life into man.

When this happens, a significant transformation takes place.

Along with what happened on the First Pentecost - we have the birth of the Church - as St. Paul calls it: "the Body of Christ" - a "Second Incarnation", if you will. I believe it was St. Ambrose who made that observation.

The same O.T. Holy Spirit is the life's breath of the Church that Jesus began...and the "gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

You question confuses me but I know this God is three distinct personalities in one. The creator who came to earth and took human form so that He is still human and his spirit which is the spirit of God. They are all there. Pure energy. Pure energy converted to flesh. Pure energy as the spirit of man through Christ. Also known as the great comforter.
God Bless!
