Very good point. Thankyou - it is a good reminder.
There really is little difference other than the fact that one is socially acceptable in this country and one is not...I think it is just reversed in the countries we are bombing.
Sucicide bombers are doing less damage to us than we are to them & their countries. They just come from countries that do not have the money & power we do so that is all they can do. I am sure most of them would prefer to be bombing us regularly in planes too...they just do not have the resources...we are very lucky to live where we live.
The war is barely an imposition on us. To those people it is a daily reality with so many of their friends and family dead.
It is all just different ways of fighting a war.
Violence is never a solution.

So in your opinion the Suicide Bombers are not as bad? Even though they mean to target innocent women and children, innocent people at wedding receptions and such are fair game, eh? I'm not sure your coming off quite right here, but you definitely sound liberal. You probably believe all the people that died on 9/11 somehow deserved it right? You and the rest like you are the reason why we'll be easy targets again in the not to distant future. Do you understand the difference between a military action and a terrorist action, probably not. If your not liberal then your probably a terrorist sympathizer, which in my opinion makes you just as guilty of murder as those you accuse.

Well, only the Wahabbis, Salafees and Deobandis seem to be doing this kind of work, suicide bombing ie. One of the worst bidaah committed by these people in the name of Islam. How sad and shameful!! The beautiful shariah of Islam has detailed and shown ways to put a stop to oppression and persecution. Even in matters of combat, for example, all laws have been laid out explicitly by the great imams of Ahl Sunnah wal Jamaah. Fitna (Slander/Dissension/Upheaval/Chaos) happens when the works of our great recognised alims (scholars) of the past are not referred to and abided with, but we take the Quran and Sunnah and try to interpret it in our own foolish and deviated ways. May Allah Taala protect us all.

It has become much less acceptable in recent years to inflict "collateral damage", such as occurred in Cologne, Germany (fire storm killed many) or in Japan, with the bombings of Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. With modern directed weapons, one can not only target a particular house, but target a particular room in it. The typical suicide bomber is immune to these considerations, and will blow up any target that can be found, whether or not there is any military or moral justification for doing so.

I despise war and violence in general. War is an abominable and disgusting enterprise. I hate it when people try to use war to bring about peace...thats like trying to put out a fire with a bucket of gasoline. Violence is the worst form of persuasion and is almost always used by people who lack wisdom. People need to learn to discuss their problems using reasonable arguments. Life is a beautiful and sacred thing and I hate to see anyone throw it away. No man has the right to take the life of another human being. But humans are a violent species and I'm sure war will always follow them around. That is why I know humans are destined for extinction.

If these terrorists were truly men, they would not be hiding among innocent women and children...or blowing them up.
Then, perhaps, we wouldn't have to send troops in, to risk their lives, to root them out. Then, perhaps, innocent men and women on both sides would not now lie dead.
If they believe they have a cause to fight for, let them come out in the open, and fight like men...or doesn't Allah honor a man for dying openly on the battlefield fighting with other men?
I am glad to see that you have compared terrorists to criminals...since they are one and the same. Same thing...if they were decent men, we wouldn't have to have good men risk their lives to protect us from them, and innocent people would not die because of them.
EDIT:
I don't expect to get "best answer" for this, LOL...but I do hope you will at least think about it.
And may God (to be very clear, I am not talking about Allah, but GOD) bless you...

There is no comparison between a suicide bomber and the military man or woman who is seeking the very terrorists who incite violence against innocent people. When the soldier bombs, he is seeking a guilty party. If he kills innocent people, it is not his intent. But a suicide bomber stands in the midst of people, knowing he/she will kill them, knowing they are innocent, and does the act anyway. Your sympathies are clear in the question that you ask. I find your question abominable.

I think that if you are living in a area and the possibility of a bomb hitting your living room while you and are family are watching some Al jazeera, is known BEFORE it happens. Then you are putting yourself at risk. Now, think of Sept 11th. Those people had no clue that was to take place. Im tired of people saying that our troops are the real terrorists. We have rules of engagement, insurgents do not. We do not torture or behead people. Insurgents do. We do not walk into a market or a store, and blow it up.

Sounds like a plan if there is space to hold them. I like the Sheriff in Arizona, I think, that built a chain link enclosure with tents to house prisoners. He stated that if our troops had to endure that hardship, it was good enough for criminals and suspected criminals. Amen
