I am wondering if God is trying to contact me and convert me....
First - There was the face of Jesus burned into the tortilla of my breakfast taco, it didn't taste that great just burned.
Second- This vagrant came up to my car and said, "Annie, I am trying to help you- I died for your sins please let me save you" and I had to turn on my wipers and spray washer fluid on him to get him away from my car.
and then just today a talking dog came up to me and said," it is not to late" so I backed over him with my car (it was kind of too late).
So, are these signs or just random coincindences. On a sidenote, any one know how to shut up a talking dog? The car didn't work. I mean much passed convincing me to be a Christian all he knows is showtunes.

I just saw this comment and found it very interesting. How do you feel about it?

What are some of the beliefs that Jehovah's Witnesses are said to be wrong. Why do some people not like them. I'm very spiritual and am in a group that I share my beliefs with and almost all of them dislike and disagree with Jehovah's Witnesses. Could you clear this up for me. Thank you.

For me... in my opinion religion is a good thing... because it gives people direction in a good way. Religion has been forged by wise people before our time to teach us crucial things about life. Think about it... why try figure out life from scratch when all the generations before us have figured out alot about it. And all you have to do is join the religion/read the bible. Exactly the same reason you goto school to learn about the physical world. I say just embrace their knowledge because it will save you lots of time analyzing life... and before you know it you are old. well thats that i think. whats your view?

If you invited someone not of your faith to attend your church, would you agree to return the gesture by attending their church, if they asked you to?

If you answer yes, would this turnabout extend to all faiths -- Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Unitarian Universalists, Wiccans, Mormons -- or would you draw the line somewhere and refuse a reciprocal invitation to a particular house of worship?

... does that then mean that by freeing this person "from debt" karma no longer plays a roll and God will no longer give him his just deserts - or justice, in other words since I made the decision to forgive? And what justice would I have in return for this forgiveness?

Evolution by natural selection is based on survival of the fittest.

The fittest is whatever being acts in such away that allows it to survive.

These actions are spurred by beliefs.

These beliefs are not necessarily true, only useful.

Therefore, we cannot know our beliefs are true.

I am planning on participating in a volunteer abroad trip in about a year, and I wish to do a similar program in the United States prior to taking off.

I am having trouble finding a program that fits my monetary and schedule requirements.
I need a tax-deductible, week-long service trip that I can participate in from December 14-21, preferably in the area of hurracane relief.

I've been looking all over and I can't seem to find a program like this... I've located many such programs abroad, but none in the United States.

Please help me out!

"...One day a 5 year old boy squashed a bug and thought to himself, 'That was fun!'. He lived his whole life killing people and destroying things and inflicting pain on others. He was never caught and for 80 years he had done nothing but destroy and inflict pain. On his death bed he realized that God was real and 'accepted Jesus into his heart as his savior' and knew god loved him. He was frgiven of his sins and God let him into Heaven."

"...For the 5 years of his life, a boy was taught to be nice, kind, and respectful and always be a good godfearing man. One day he accidentally stepped on a bug and thought, 'How horrible! What have I done?' For 80 years of his life this man was always nice and had NEVER done anything in his life that had even caused anyone any discomfort. On his death bed, he knew he was going to heaven because he was always open to god and Jesus, and he was a good Christian. The day before before he died, this man lay on his deathbed to learn that another man, the

Bullet 1) Why do some people have a picture of whats supposed to be Jesus even though they know that the painter(s) who painted it didn't even live in the same era as him and he's everywhere as if ppl know thats what he really looks like?
Bullet 2) If one has this painting of Jesus do you think of it as an object of faith, hope, or does having it give you a sense of reassurance?
Bullet 3) If we have faith then why is a "picture of Jesus" needed? I mean its only an object and isn't your love of Jesus enough?

As you may or may not have heard Pope Benedict XVI confirmed the Catholic doctrine that the Catholic Church is the true Church established by Jesus Christ Himself. That non-Catholic Christian churches are "defective" because they fail to recognize the Sacred Tradition steming from apostolic succession. He also said that the non-Catholic Christian churches DO play a major role in salvation and are a benefit to their communities.

As a former Protestant now Roman Catholic I can understand why he needed to clarify this. It is a serious issue.

Before commenting yourself on the Pope's statements please read the letter where he explains this before jumping to any conclusions.

I just want to know how the Protestant community will respond to this.
