God is referred to as a male because we live in a male-dominant society/world. But that doesn't really matter does it? What difference would it make? What if God is just God, neither male nor female?

As to your particular question, Satan can be a female, or a male, a snake, or a (whatever), it just depends on what he/she/it chooses to reveal him/her/itself to you as. It probably depends on how they want to get a message to you that you can accept.

I think "God" and "Satan" if they exist as we portray them of course, don't have an "official" or fixed sex; they can take the shape and form of whatever they want. In other words, they are whatever they want to be (woman, man, animal, thing, etc.). The wind could be God, or a devastating tornado could be Satan; it is too difficult for us humans to try to understand that, as well as the concept of creation or the external existence of universe. But it is fun to see Christians and others always portraying God as a human "he", as if they really knew about things much above human knowledge!

Well the bible says that man was created in his image, so I believe the idea that God is a man comes from the fact that Jesus (his son) would look like God.

Satan... I don't think would be a female. Or too much a gender at all... considering he'd have no reason for sexual intercourse.

The name of God is Allah, an Arabic word that means the God. The word does not signify female or male gender nor it has plural form.

"And there is none like unto Him." HQ 112:4

So why are we arguing that God is male or female?

God functions as a Father to us. He sees us as His children whom He is protective of, as a father would be; but on a much higher level. Because you are in rebellion with God, you are refusing to accept the truth. While that is certainly your choice, don't ask foolish questions that even a child can answer.
