For me... in my opinion religion is a good thing... because it gives people direction in a good way. Religion has been forged by wise people before our time to teach us crucial things about life. Think about it... why try figure out life from scratch when all the generations before us have figured out alot about it. And all you have to do is join the religion/read the bible. Exactly the same reason you goto school to learn about the physical world. I say just embrace their knowledge because it will save you lots of time analyzing life... and before you know it you are old. well thats that i think. whats your view?

Here is my view. I am already old. I spent my whole life exploring. I know things that cannot be obtained from religion. The only thing I have been able to ascertain about religion is that it is not of much use for anything. I don't believe it and a lifetime of living has convinced me that it has nothing to offer me. Is that because I am ignorant of it? Look at some of my posts and see what you think. aen

There is pure undefiled religion, and God tells us that is following the teachings of Jesus and living them and speaking them. There is much false religion where they wont recognize Jesus, or they say they do , but they live like they dont know God at all. Both will be lost unless they come to the real Jesus fast
All we must do is to ask Jesusinto our hearts, an dto pray and study the word, and God will reveal everything to us There is no other way. YOu must repent of your sins and turn from them, as you confess Jesus is your lord and saviour . Follow only the teachings of Jesus and you have it made.
Science can be good, but often it is not. God wanrs us about false science/knowledge. He says when it goes agaisnt what He teaches, it is false. So evolution is false, big bang is false, and all the religions with out Jesus are false
We live in a supernatural realm and few know that> ONce you connect with the Holy Spirit, so much more makes sense to you and you will be truly born again and desire only to live for Jesus and live like Him The sooner you start, the sooner you arrive. And we must do this before we die or Jesus comes again, which is soon. Choose wisely and soon, choice is yours and so are the consequences.

I think religion is over rated and shouldn't exist and has only brought even more hate into this world.
Think about it.
There are people that hate Muslims because of their religion.
There are people that hate Satanists or have a problem becausue, they think of Satan as their "god"
Hopefully you know what Hitler did and you do not support it!
I could possibly go on forever.
There's no need for religion. People shouldn't have to worship anything, or restrict themselves from that they want to do in life.
I think that religion shouldn't be a topic to really talk about at all.
And if you're forced to be a certain religion because of your family or whatever, you should still be whatever you want!
There should be no religion if no one can accept other people for their religion or their beliefs! You shouldn't have to worship anyone!
My point is, you don't need to have a certain religion to be a good person or get what you want in life. All you need is a brain and an idea of what you want to do!

Religious are words according to the ancient situation and background to teach people the right way. Nowaday; most situation and background are changed, some to the regulations are not suit for us. May be we need to fine tune the regulation so that people can fit the regulations. Such as Christ changed the regulation from Jews, of which are good to people at the moment. But at that time, Jews were justice christ was rebellian.

Religion is just a way people come together, set up certain rules and regulations to keep a church from falling apart, and hopefully enjoying the time studying the Bible, God's Holy Word.
As for analyzing, many people including myself over-analyze. That's when we need to kick back, and say,
Who's in charge? God. Let Him do more of the talking.
God bless you with hope for mankind.

"...Think about it... why try figure out life from scratch when all the generations before us have figured out alot about it...."
If that were true, there wouldn't be so many very different religions that accept the same bible while disagreeing in a thousand different ways on how to interpret it.

I think if you limit yourself to only reading one source of information, you have no way to ever find the truth, because all information sources are biased in some way or another.
Only by exploring for yourself do you have a chance of learning what's really out there, instead of being spoon-fed by "wise people" who only tell you what THEY want you to know.

Faith is more than knowledge. You can't have true faith without the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
That means dying to self, which is not pretty. But it is required to become born again.
If our sin has such a hold on us that we are willing to lie, be a hypocrit, and say we believe what we can't believe because we haven't truly repented, then all we have is knowledge.
Faith is based on the truth of Jesus Christ, who died and rose again, and we follow him when we repent and believe and are baptized in his name.

Religion is a good thing, provided one follows it's doctrine and true meaning. Many twist the meaning to their own ends. That's why Jesus came to us to bear witness to the truth.
