just wondering.

Im trying to teach my 1year old daughter the way I believe for now, when shes older she can pick her own thing, so...I guess what Im saying is, I believe that the spirit and the body are 2 separate things, and when someone dies, the spirit comes to 'walk' with the people it knew in bodily form but the body is given back to the earth and thanked. So, we went to a funeral on friday and about that last part, about the spirit and the body...thats how I wanted to convey it to her(of course shes too young yet but they say start little) and thats really the only thing I meant by the question, so, I asked her, "did you enjoy the funeral?".....and its.....so gosh dang strange.......I feel really weird about wording it that way and kind of guilty even, but.........can anyone help me explain to myself why that is? I mean, I feel bad about saying something like that, but then at a deeper level the question fit right in.how can I make something like that seem "right" or at least not strange or bad?

They knew the whites really meant to say "the place is mostly populated with whites so it's a good area?" Is it wrong to want to live in an area mostly populated by whites? I've heard that when someone says "it's a great place to raise a family" or "it's a good neighborhood/area," they are being politically correct. Is that true? What do whites have in mind when they say those things?

I just need an exchange of ideas

Ok, she died tragically young in a terrible accident. She was revered as a fantastic mother, but all you saw in the weeks prior to her death was her swanning off on holiday with Dodi. Remember, her kids were only something like 11 and 13 at the time!

Who do you still want to become?

Who are you gonna be when you grow up?

Dreams, do become reality.

Write down your dreams, and set the wheels of destiny turning.

This is the beginning, every second is the beginning.

If you were a diety in a polytheistic pantheon, what would you be the god of? What's your bailiwick?

Note:
You can't be Triviates, the god of useless information. I've got dibs on that one.

Hi my name is Heidi, and I live in South Africa. I just wanted to know what your prayers are for this planet? There is so much suffering going on, and we walk past it everyday in this we call our life. Answer my prayers and help someone. Even if its just for one day. A stranger. A friend.

Bless You!

It happened at a dinner party I hosted. A man sitting on my left was leaning across me to talk to my friend on my right. He kept getting in my space and making me uncomfortable. He was too close. He was breathing in my face, causing me to lose my appetite. I kept scootting up to block his view. I hoped he would back down. He kept getting closer. Finally, he leaned behind the back of my chair and talked to my friend. Irritation! There were no other seats at the table. If this happens again, should I.....

1. Ask him to move away a little?
2. Ask him to change seats with someone?
3. Get up from my seat and eat my meal standing up?
4. Nothing. Let them talk behind my chair.

Help appreciated.

I used to like it when Jesus used to say "Jesus calling God. Come in God" - and then he'd give him an update on what he'd learnt on earth.

If I can remember, he also turned up in an episode of Happy Days.

I just completed a documentary - which you may or may not see, depending on your viewing habits - (HBO) - anyway, I found, in Los Angeles at least - that every gang - all of them, professed belief in Jesus or God - devout belief. Never once did I find an atheist among them.

Why is this... in your opinion?

Thanks for your answers.

On the one hand, we see the worst mass-murder in world history SINCE Pol Pot slaughtering tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis, and **wasting** the lives of thousands of our own soldiers. For NOTHING.

On the other hand, we have Bush's continual string of vetoes of bills that would expand valuable embryonic stem cell research that could hugely benefit millions of people.

Is this paradoxical -- or is it weirdly logical...?

= = = = = = = = =

=====> The above question, which I asked about three weeks ago, went to voters before I had a chance to select a "Best Answer."

So THIS is **MY** choice, as the asker, for BEST Answer ---

The philosophy of George Orwell's Animal Farm began with "All animals are created equal." It evolved into "All animals are created equal but some are more equal than others."

my 15yr old will go to court on Weds. before last summer, he was never in trouble before, he has 6 mo that he could go to a juvenile jail for. when he turned 13 our family of 5 started the vicous cycle of divorce, and I do mean vicous.I was together with his Dad for 23 yrs,3 beautiful sons we were blessed with, so not all bad.
yes, my son done wrong, he didnt cause any harm to anyone, but still he broke the law. I really feel devistated. I have watched my baby boy just change before my eyes. he has ALWAYS been a good kid,im not using divorse as an excuse for his behavior, but honestly,i do beleive that a divorce can cause such devistation, and it is so over-looked.
I truly feel that it is like a death in a family, but you have no one person to mourn. there is no body, you are all just, broke, you will not ever be the same, you lose your self identity as you have always known it.
i am very scared for my son. will you please say sincere prayers for him ? thank you, from my heart.
