There is abuse every where, just not in churches. It is in schools, and homes. Pedophiles are teachers, coaches, policemen, firemen, babysitters, day care operators, next door neighbors, dads, uncles, grandfathers etc. A child has more of a chance being abused at home then in a church. And no it does not prove Satan is more powerful. Pedophilia is a sickness and as I said above in every walk of life. The so called priests that did this were homosexuals and all those abused were pre teen boys

Although the abuse in the church against children does prove that Satan has power, it does not, however, prove that he is more powerful. The Bible describes Satan and his evil as prowling about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour and his evil does just as it is written. The fact that the abuse has now been brought out into the open and will be rightfully dealt with proves that God's good will prevails against Satan's evil. The evil will never win because the power of evil is not greater than the power of God Almighty! Thanks be to God!

I think it proves that people are, at our core, sinful. It also shows that Satan gets too much credit.
If Satan were the reason people did what they did, then we could say that people are innocent and sinless. If that were true, then there would not be a need for a Savior. There would also be no accountability for our actions.
Finally, according to Scripture, Satan has no such power. He can suggest and tempt us, but we are the ones that act upon those temptations.

No way!
You have no idea at all how much more powerful Jesus and God are than satan.
To let you know abuse to children happens in cults usually not in a normal church.

Honestly, I believe that it is a call for the Church to fix herself and once she's fixed herself to reach into other area's of society to cure this madness.

No, but it does suggest that there are people who, once given authority over others, will abuse that authority.
