I used to like it when Jesus used to say "Jesus calling God. Come in God" - and then he'd give him an update on what he'd learnt on earth.

If I can remember, he also turned up in an episode of Happy Days.

My favorite parts are the universal rules and parables that unite all religions, rather than the doctrinal passages that divide. For example, Matthew 16:27 says that, as long as you live a good life, you will go to Heaven.

Ben Franklin once wrote, "I think vital religion has always suffered when orthodoxy is more regarded than virtue. And the Scripture assures me that at the last day we shall not be examined by what we thought, but what we did…that we did good to our fellow creatures. See Matthew 25."

The early stuff is the best. Genesis is my favorite. It has Adam & Eve, Cain & Abel, Noah's flood, the Tower of Babel etc. Exodus is pretty cool too with Moses and Pharoah and the plagues, killing the firstborn of Egypt, and the bloody genocide in Canaan. After Exodus that the bible slows down a lot and gets pretty tedius.

The one where Jesus said:"Come let the children come unto me for theirs is the kingdom in heaven. " That's why I have such a hard time to understand why churches are bashing out at those who are different.
