For whoever has heard about the document in which the pope said that the Catholic church is the only true from of Christianity, and for those who know what they're talking about: Where could I find out what other things that document contains?

Don't answer if you don't know.

Here is the full text of the new document that states nothing new: http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20070629_responsa-quaestiones_en.html

Most Christian denominations believe that each of them is the fullest version of the Church of Christ.

While the Catholic Church also believes that she is "the highest exemplar" of the mystery that is the Church of Christ, she does not claim that non-Catholic Churches are not truly Christian. The Catholic Church teaches:

Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements.

Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church.

All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him.

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 819: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt3art9p3.htm#819

With love in Christ.

Sep. 20, 2006 (CWNews.com) - Editor's note: The following is the prepared text from which Pope Benedict XVI (bio - news) spoke as he addressed an academic audience at the Unviersity of Regensburg on September 12. As he actually delivered it, the speech differed slightly. Because the speech has aroused an unusual amount of debate-- particularly regarding the Pope's references to Islam and to religious violence-- CWN strongly recommends reading the entire text. For follow-up stories and analysis see the CWN home page.

Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is a moving experience for me to stand and give a lecture at this university podium once again. I think back to those years when, after a pleasant period at the Freisinger Hochschule, I began teaching at the University of Bonn. This was in 1959, in the days of the old university made up of ordinary professors. The various chairs had neither assistants nor secretaries, but in recompense there was much direct contact with students and in particular among the professors themselves.

Here's the document at the Vatican Web Site.

And it was the Pope, exactly, it came from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, a Vatican think-tank, as it were.

The document can be found at the Vatican website. Just go to www.google.com and put in vatican. You will see a a link to the Official vatican website. Look in the circle for Motu proprio.

Here are a couple that I could find from Google before the internet refused to load anymore. You can Google "Vatican news service" and get some others. I think these were the top two.

Actually, the Pope didn't say anything. It was the congregation of the faith.

He has hidden under his huge way too expensive hat, which is tucked away at night in the catholics, gaudy and high priced church. Way to spend the lords money.... on thousand dollar hats and pope mobiles.

yahoo news has it...link too long, sorry (and not good at cutting and pasting, lol)

**Suggest you do further reading by using ALL the links on all the report pages...gives you a wider view and understanding about your Pope whom, by the way drew up the original paper years ago before he took office, and also whom is the "grand Inquisitor"...1st one appointed in a long long time...plus, I'd question his days as a Hitler youth...I know, it was something no boy could refuse, but, he stayed in for several years before he "left" the German army....(just a thought-minds get warped in far less time and with less reasons to)

Peace :)
