If god is almighty why didn't he create humans to be perfect knowing imperfect humans would cause death and murder amongst each other?

---found that quote on www.boardofwisdom.com just thought i'd share that so people can talk about it and what-not.

Truly, I feel tired and discouraged right now. Most of those Christians! They never listen. They will never try to understand that Witches are good people. I have asked many different nicely phrased questions trying to get them to see the possibility that a Witch might not be evil and might not do evil. They are so stubborn. Friends...all of you out there who are my contacts and know my questions...should I give up?

...at the time of your death to being perfect in Heaven?

2007-07-14 14:43:09 · 16 answers · asked by Anonymous in Religion & Spirituality

So why doesn't God make everyone into perfect beings and allow them all into heaven? It would actually be more cruel if God were to do this, since many people prefer hell to the alternative (complete submission to God). All the people who end up going to hell will have done so because they actually prefer hell to being forced into the presence of God for all eternity. People like to live in their favorite sins and answer to no one else. They know that if they accept Jesus as Lord and Savior that God will want them to change their lives and they might have to give up some of their autonomy.

I've wondered this my entire life and the closest I've gotten to an answer comes from Psychiatrist telling me crazy people don't know their crazy.

If we don't even know if we're crazy or not what do we know?
Are you sure what you perceive as reality is actually that?

Okay I had a reading last year, 2006 in May. I think it was pretty vague but 2 of my girlfriends go to this lady and get semi accurate readings. I have a boyfriend who is incarcerated and myself am going thru a custody case in court and she didn't mention either of these things in my reading. I was wondering if some people are easier to read than others or what? At the time of my reading I was having alot of stress at work and she did pick up on that and told me to quit my job within 6 months or my health would suffer but didn't give any specifics. Here it is over a year later and I still have the same job, no health problems. Like I said my 2 girlfriends get pretty accurate readings but mine wasn't really on point. Any ideas?

It is too often when people refuse to question their spirituality simply because "it is what their parents believed". I personally would not impose my beliefs on my child because I want them to make a choice of their own when they are older

Modern medicine can help people born with congenital disabilities to survive and even procreate whereas if we weren’t sapient and were still animals, these people would be dead thereby assisting the evolutionary process. Surely the evolution of the human race has at least dramatically slowed down if not ceased completely?

Again, I’m asking here because there seems to be more people here with knowledge of this particular science than in the biology section.

When you ask people where they come from, a familiar response is "I'm Italian or Irish or from some other country. Why do jewish people answer "I'm Jewish?" I never understand why jews respond with their religion to this question. There is no Jewland!
My grandparents were from Russia and I'm an American. Yet I too answer that I'm jewish. Any jewish people out there know why this is the traditional answer?

I see no problem with cloning animals to isolate desired traits or to reanimate a dead pet.

How about doing the same with humans. Reanimate Einstein, Plato, Aristotle, Michelangelo. And maybe Jesus himself if we could find his DNA.

Someone asked a question about someone going barefoot into a store and someone replied with "maybe they cannot afford shoes". Ok if someone was in fact severly poor but they did not want the inconvenience and embarassment of being barefoot wouldn't shoes be easy to attain provided they lived in the USA in a decent sized town? I am sure some good soul would help a little kid out with a pair of shoes or the school would. Basically what I am getting at is not being able to afford shoes is a poor excuse to be barefoot in public, it is more than likely their choice. What do you think?
