It seems as if the most positive way to react in this situation is to remember that all states are impermanent and in constant state of change. Also, the removal of peaceful mind is manifest by lack of control of the ego.

Being peace begets peace.

This is my experience.

Pray for peace, your anwser will come. Struggling with the prayer...get into the word then go back to our father in heaven and pray. Peace will come.Our conscience ( what Jesus left with us to remind us) is not the seed in which we must protect.What we should protect is the "ground" (our body) in which the seed was planted. We must keep our ground fertile so that the seed may grow. Occaisional weeding and regular watering is required.
