Well, there are and have been secret societies throughout much of history. Whether I believe any particular "conspiracy theory" would depend on which one you mean. In general, I think powerful people do get together and talk about their mutual interests, and make agreements which they do not disclose to the public. Whether this constitutes a conspiracy is another matter. I go by the legal definition of conspiracy: that it is specifically to do something illegal.

P.S. That's "illuminati." Actually, it should be capitalized, but it's too hard to tell a capital i from a lower-case L.

Conspiracy theory?
That a certain web based question/Answer forum is actually not what it seems......That this unnamed forum actually is operated under the guise of a free speech atmosphere which could be the exact opposite.........
The theory is that in fact the forum is staffed by certain "Dark" factions who's primary goal is to eradicate all of the thoughts, morals, ideas, or Independence a certain "Light" culture...
Thereby causing a political revolution and the ensuing decay and upheaval of a certain "Light"
civilization......

When the goal is complete then there will only be one category....
"Dark"Culture & "Dark" Group > General - "Dark"Culture & "Dark"Group
Singular in purpose as in syntax....

And the "Light" culture will be entirely gone...
