I wonder if all the nasty LGBT hating people would leave this area alone, if we stopped answering their questions. No matter what we say in defense of ourselves, they do not care. Just fulling the fire.

God is omnicient, omnipotent, we are not.

There are so many denominations of Christianity... and so many different views and interpretations...we are all liable to be mistaken - often. We are human.

life, near poverty, and looking for a better way of life? I mean how many people that are doing really good in life say "hmm I think I will check out this Christianity thing"? I am a Christian and I ask myself questions like this a lot. For the first 15-20 years after Jesus most of the Christians were Jewish converts who were tired of being oppressed by the religion of Judaism and the Roman Empire. Even Constantine was facing hard times in battle when decided to change beliefs and take on the Christian faith. He believed the Christian God would give him success in Battle. What are your thoughts on this?

I had this woman come up to me not long ago and said that she was very depressed. When I asked her why: She said because she couldn't prove her faith. I said: What do you mean by "prove" your faith? She said she failed to handle the serpent or rattlesnake. I said: "What?" Thats nuts! The bible does not say to directly handle serpents! Christ gives us authority over them! Grabbing and handling a serpent would be more like tempting God! Its kinda like if you where to jump off of a 50 story building because you have faith that God would save your life! Its crazy! Its the soul that is more important! The body will rot away but the soul is eternal! Sorry if I offend anyone! But this is rediculous folks! I felt so sorry for that woman. But she wouldn't listen to me!

Other than the word trick of calling it creation instead of The Universe or The World.
Can any of you actually prove that it was created.

Someone posted the statistics on belief in America. 90% believe there is a god, 3% are atheists, and 50% believe in creation. Why would calling those 50% who believe in creation- idiots... be a violation? So if I were to call the small percentage of Young Earth Creationists (who truly believe the Earth is only some 4,000 years old) idiots, how is that wrong? If someone cannot see the scientific evidence right in front of their eyes... that's not my idiotic problem.

Since the theory of evolution states that apes and humans have a common ancestory, there is no proof that humans are any "better" than apes. Just because we can think doesn't mean we are superior to apes. Both are animals. It's as simple as that. Elephants are strong. Monkeys climb trees. And human beings contemplate their own existence while uncovering the laws of nature. Big deal. How is this "intelligence" any proof that we are better than a monkey that sticks its finger in its butt?

The love I have for my children is so immense it's unexplainable.

With that said........Can you even begin to imagine the kind of love that our Father in Heaven has for us? Knowing that he loves us even more than we love our own children?

I truly wish more people knew this unfathomable kind of love.

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13)

Jesus Himself fulfilled this greatest love by dying for us so that we could be forgiven of all our sins and have fellowship with God

Within the answer to another question about meditation, someone wrote,

"Meditation does not connect you with anyone, what it does is blank out your mind so you are very vulnerable to suggestion. It helps you be "open" to whatever spirit wants to say something to you or suggest something, so it makes you subject to the demonic."

I am curious to hear opinions and rationale of those who hold similar beliefs.

As a matter of reference, I am a Buddhist, I believe in G-d and I maintain a regular meditation practice, which often includes non-Buddhist points of reference, including the Bible.

As an Atheist I've often wondered why I'm not depressed.
But I'm not.
According to theists, I have no direction in my life. But I do.
According to theists, I have no morality. But I do.
According to theists, I should be wallowing in self-pity and misery. But I'm not.
I'm happy, sucessful and very much in love with my family and my life.
Everything that theists tell me I shouldn't be.
How about that? Yet more on the list of things that theists are wrong about.
