I could say the same thing about the church in my neighborhood.
The answer is no, there is no danger to you.

DO Islamic Mosques present a danger for your neighborhood?
I don't know, if the tall threatening guards escort nuclear warheads, then yes worry.
We are currently under a heightened security level, but that doesn't mean that a place of congregation should be feared, unless you can hear people training for war or chanting "jihad" I wouldn't worry.
Be alert, and if anything suspicious happens call the authorities.

Where is the neighborhood? The congregants of the mosque are probably no more of a threat to you, a non-Muslim, than you are to them. What is frightening is that they feel they must worship behind barbed wire. If you come in contact with the guards at the gate, smile, wish them a nice day and go on with your life. Not everyone who is of Arabic descent is on a jihad with your name on a bullet.

We have seen that terrorism is a tactic that is being used by particularly muslims. That there are terrorist cells in the west all of them muslim. Does the mosque represent a threat . .. not really . .. but if some of the muslims are terrorists it could . . . the thing about the terrorist cells is they function like a virus in the body. What they do is remain in active . .. a friendly enough muslim could be a terrorist who is just "inactive" but at some point they organize and go blow something up. Which muslims are terrorists . .. we could say that any of them who know about it, support it, do nothing about it, though they know that others are . .. rioting and violence isn't acceptable . . . nor is blowing things up . .. they built a mosque because the muslims are already there . ..
Now i would want all muslims to convert to CHRIST. We do of course say that muslims can be saved. But terrorism is unacceptable . ..
The federal government is keeping an eye on suspected terrorists . ..
I wouldn't go being racist, or harbor anymosity toward muslims, i have known muslims who were nice . .. I have known muslims who wouldn't be terrorists at least i think so . .. but given that this war is more SPIRITual who can say?
It is catholic doctrine that every soul is within salvation. i of course echo this belief as i believe in Catholic Doctrine as being of CHRIST . ..
I wouldn't see the mosque as a threat to personal safety unless there is a general fatwa among all muslims against the west . .. they issued a fatwa for instance against Salman Rushdie (the author of Satanic Verses). . . if he were to go near the mosque they would be required to kill him . ..
We are trying to keep the peace of course and lead people to CHRIST by our LOVE . ..
-LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen
:edit: Personally i feel all who are not in CHRIST these days are in danger. And muslims deny CHRIST as THE DIVINE SON OF GOD . .. Nevertheless we pray for their salvation as we do LOVE our enemies.

Those fences, barbed wire, and guards are probably there for their protection, from small minded people such as yourself.
Does a Synagogue present a danger? A Catholic Church? A Buddhist Temple?

Yes. Very much so, but any church will present a danger to a degree. The muslims will blow people up and the Christians will make a variety of excuses of why they can do it because 'Americans are selfish', etc.

I don´t think so, I believe a member of a Catholic or Lutheran Church or whatever, can be as dangerous as you think the Islamic Mosques is. That´s because we people can be dangerous, despite which religion we believe in.

if they have long fences, barbed wire and need big guys to escort women... then i think they are afraid from YOU ... that you may hurt any of them because of what the media says about them... it is an act resulting from feeling insecure
